Just some Hohmwrecker G2's with some new toppers...

I'm really digging the Peerless RDA's with the only complaint being the extremely tight air flow control ring. However they are brand new and will surely relax with some time. When I drip I don't paint. I don't like to remove caps. I'm a lazy dripper I guess and prefer to simply drop right through my drip tip. I may get really motivated now and then and pull my drip tip. Sure, air flow from below the coil may be a bit better but not better enough to be constantly pulling the cap.

Obviously, I'm a fan of the G2!!!





I'm really digging my Pharoahs too. I have the RDA and the RTA. No leaks and they both give an excellent vape with a large single coil. The RTA version has one drawback and that is the top airflow ring. It's easily spun open or closed on accident. However I discovered quite by accident that it gives a surprisingly nice vape with the bottom airflow closed and just the top airflow open. It's just an option though that I'm not convinced we even need. However running the air that way did bring a different flavor to an eliquid I already liked. It seemed to bring out some of the "brighter" flavors in a fruity/creamy/custard eliquid. I sometime pull the drip tip on the RDA and sometime even drip toward the wicks with the tip still on. No leaks at all except that one time I had been using the Peerless for a few hours and pulled a bonehead move just dripping straight down the drip tip on right out the airflow holes.

Here's the coil I'm running in the Pharoah RDA from Raymo. First time I've bought from him and not only did it go well he included several freebies. Staggertons and the like. This may have been one of the freebies as well. While he has broadened my horizons toward "exotic coils" that I assumed were mostly gimmick I am now spoiled to the larger fused/framed coils. The genuinely do vape smoother and better, producing even more vapor with less spitback. Sure they do guzzle juice and batteries but I have plenty of both.

I think it was on here that I recall seeing someone post about a place called Main Vapor or something like that had them for 60 bucks!

I'm getting a bit concerned that Hohmtech isn't too enthusiastic about their mods anymore. I don't know if they are focusing on batteries and giving up on mods or what. Something new should be in the works that plays a bit nicer with the 25 mm and up atomizer that a lot of us are using now.

This most recent firmware upgrade doesn't offer anything I desire. I don't want the update...at all. Now they are back to vape porn menus? Takinq away SS presets? Adding ten watts the users of this device don't want? Some other companies logo and stuff in there?

I never understood why they built such a technically superior device and then designed the firmware menus with all that juvenile wording. The FSK chip is such a great chip but the team at Hohmtech have been their own worst enemy in some ways. Maybe they will sell the chip technology to someone who manages the details better?

Their lack of even a tease about a new mod and this firmware update concern me a bit about their commitment to keep supporting their mods and innovating. If you want one you might wanna do that while the getting is good as they say.

I have not installed it myself so I'm passing along second hand info but yes, no more sub menus for SS, just the one SS setting. I vape in xXx or power mode exclusively but it does seem like a step backwards.

The vape porn menu wasn't a big deal to me personally. I just think there should be a firmware option for people who do not want that on their device. If they want to appeal to users of more advanced devices (Flag Ship Killer) they possibly alienate some of those users.

Got it from Gearbest for under $16, after seeing @SirRichardRear's review of it. I put it right there with the Pharaoh for flavor. But if you order from GB, find out the fastest shipping option. Mine took over 40 days to get here.

If the one in that pic is the red one and you said you added an orange, I was mistaken but I blame HT for not differentiating the red and orange enough and sometimes they look the same in certain lighting.

They were working on 2 new mods, a triple 18650 G3 and a dual 26550 Hohmrun. @Deucesjack is the one with the info on that. Pretty much had to scrap the plans with the FDA regs, they would only be able to sell it outside the US unless the laws change.

I would love a new hohm mod but unless.things change we are stuck with what we got.

They are trying to license out the board though, that was what the 181 watt firmware update on there Facebook page was about. It was a custom firmware they made for the guys who make the rig mods, guess they decided against using the FSK chip, that's why they released the firmware. I am really hoping someone picks the FSK chip to use, I would be a customer.

Haha, yeah, that is the blood orange....errrr, I mean red in the pic. I added the orange LE edition, wish I would have added an LE earlier, it is slick in person.
