I just re wicked my 1st coil! I know most of you can do this in your sleep, but you have to understand stuff like this never goes well for me. If anyone is pitching these coils without re wicking em, dont. If I can do it, trust me, anyone can:)

I was re wicking these coils for the last couple of weeks, normally I do fairly well at things of this nature, but for some reason my coils started out ok but then after a few hits, or after sitting for a couple hours I kept getting burnt hits. I tried everything, less cotton, more cotton, total rebuilds, and I was still getting bunt hits. Finally just before I was ready to pull my hair out, I realized I was leaving my cotton out on each side,(I'd seen Rip Trippers do it that way), but I decided to try pushing the cotton inside, so they looked just like the original coil, and BINGO!!!! Never a dry hit since.

Maybe spoke to soon. I'm getting burt tasting hits right now. Only at 18 watts with about a 3 sec pull. I use to be able to do a 5 or 6 sec pull at 20w no prob. Are you saying you pushed the cotton all the way inside the two juice wells?

Push your cotton in.. Pulling it away from the sides of the well.. Lightly. Careful not to bunch up the cotton too much

Seems like it would be best to not have cotton in the feed holes. Let the juice free flow through the holes and have the cotton take over inside the coil head wall. That should help the tank pull bubbles easier too which further helps wicking.
