Kanger subox mini getting hot

I'm running a mad hatter .3 build on my subox mini. After about three decent pulls the mod itself heats up. The battery is cool to the touch like it hasn't been used, however the mod itself is getting warm. I'm not sure if it's just heat transfer or? I'd really appreciate some feedback. Ty

Only way to tell is try an atomizer heat sink adapter and see if it helps. If not it's likely the mod itself.

Of course it's going to get hot, it's not like a tank in which the coil is surrounded by juice.

I know that, i'm just looking to see if it's a common problem with the mod. Threw a dark horse on and it hasn't gotten warm since so I'm thinking it was just the RDA.
