Kanger subtank mini on kato safe r not

Hi I'm new to mech mods. Ive just bought a kato and would like to know if its safe to run my subtank mini with a 0.5ohm on it my battery is a efest 18650 imr 3.7v 2500 mah 20a/30a . Just don't want to blow my hand and face off.

As long as it's not a hybrid top cap you should be fine, but it may not vape so well. A .5Ω coil is only gonna push about 30W on a single 18650, but it's plenty safe

Thanks if I do build for it what's the best guage wire and ohms am I looking at to blow some decent vape

Is it the kato box? Anything above a .2 will work just fine. A lotta people here use Steamengine to calculate their builds beforehand

Thanks again yea it is the kato box. Which tanks are suppose to go on mech mods .

As long as it's not a hybrid mech mod you can put any tank on a mech mod. It's more a question of performance. Generally a tank performs better on a regulated box just because tanks can be finicky and you can fine-tune the wattage. Most sub-tanks don't have a protruding 510 pin which makes them dangerous for hybrid-style mech mods. So as long as your mechanical mod doesn't have a hybrid top cap you can theoretically use anything you want on it as long as the battery can handle the amp draw.
