The good:
It's a cheep squanker.
The bad:
It has a Kanger RDA on top.

If I were to buy it, I would replace the Kanger RDA with a proper RDA with a hollow 510 pin.

On principle any RDA you want would do as long as you can find a suitable hollow 510 pin for it.

Honestly, I don't know the first thing about bottom fed RDA's or squonking for that matter. All I'm saying is, give the RDA it comes with a shot. I might turn out you really like it and it works for you. Don't rush to judgement based on other people's opinons.

You will find it helpful to read the thread. The rda's suggested have bottom feed pins.

Ok so i got the dripbox as my first mod. I had a love hate relationship with it. If i could go back i would not change my decision though. Due to that choice i got into building leaned about batteries and much more. As a long time user of that mod let me give some advise. The drip tip it comes with is not worth using. Airflow is ok on it but the deck is a issue. You can get pre built decks to swap out but not that great. The new 160 version has a better deck but thats a different story. Once you buy this you will want to get a velocity rda or any squonker rda you choose as soon as possible to really enjoy. Now the fact its like a mech mod with protection is the best part it saved my butt from a few bad builds as i learned. It will only go down to a .2 ohm build but that's fine for a first mod. Second buy some high amp quality batteries. I got some vtc4 i loved in it. They dont last as long as hg2 but worked better. I had 2 vtc4 and one hg2 and did great. Bought a spool of 26g a1 kanthal and some cotton and from there i was hooked i started building and learning all about vaping. Now i use the dripbox 160 and love it but if you start on the 160 you wont learn as much as the dripbox helps you learn. I would highly recommend it for a starting mod.

The Dripbox 60 I have will fire down to .12ohm, so I don't trust the protections they claim for the chip and treat it like any other mech. Quote and link to a good review below;

"The box itself is simple, with a rudimentary internal chip that provides low resistance and reverse battery protection, and a single button for firing and five-click on and off. Kanger claims a 60-watt output, but my pass-through voltmeter indicated that the output was unregulated, with voltage under load dependent on the resistance of the atomizer coils."

I think what kangertech means is fully charged it will be a 60w max output not a consistent 60w. I can promise its not a consistent 60w output. But after learning on the device and it stoping a few what would be bad scenarios before i had a ohm tester and understood what i was doing i think its very safe and highly recommend it for learning on. It will not fire below a .2 when wicked and juiced. I got it to fire lower once like a .18 but it would not vape or run long just enough to heat a coil up with nothing on it then it shut off. But as i said i was just starting then and didnt understand the dangers fully so i was pushing it a bit just trusting my device to do its job and it did it very well.

Yes, it will fire below .2, wicked and juiced (as if that somehow makes a difference) as stated above down to .12 ohms. Whatever Kanger meant, if you read the article I linked, the dude put a pass thru volt meter on it and there was no regulation or "60w max". But I guess you know better...

Maybe i got one that actually works as desinged. But after using a ohm meter mine wont go below .2 and a brand new battery fires pretty close maybe not exactly like 60 watts if not lower but never higher on all attys. Thats my experience my mod my setup i am not saying your information or experience is inaccurate im just stating my experience as it is. That was my only mod for a few months i used it all day every day and know very well how the one i bought works but i only know mine. No point arguing when fact is even though they are the same mod they can work different just as if you and i buy the same car today and never change oil someones will die first lol fact is how we use things effects how it works and lasts. Good luck man

Not trying to :deadhorse: here, but kind of curious how you know it's firing at "maybe not exactly like 60 watts if not lower but never higher on all attys".

And I would concede that perhaps I have an anomaly, except that I have read this same stuff that was stated above in more than a couple places.

I actually like and use the anemic little bastard, sometimes in place of much more expensive squonkers. But I don't want someone new to vaping to read that it's fool proof and head into coil building for it without an ohm meter, thinking the mod will save them no matter what they build.

Good luck to you too.

Because i use a dna 200 on a daily basis now and know very well what 60w hits like on my builds because i switched between the dna and my dripbox back to back. But im sure now your going to tell me a dna200 is not accurate right? I trust mine and always will im not asking you to or anyone else to but seems you have had a bad experience and i have had a good one and we both have our rights to share about them. You dont have to agree with me but im done going back and forth while you try and prove everything wrong fact is sometimes two people can both be right. We have different opinions on many things im sure if you want to argue them find someone who enjoys iy as much as you. Its not me. Im here to help not beat dead horses.
