I take no credit for this - I saw it on another forum somewhere, but thought I would post some pictures.
I have had the square clone for a couple months, but it gets neglected. Probably will still sit @ only 12 watts on this kick., but I wanted to get a kick in that empty 510 tube and keep the 18650 battery. Here's how:
Replace the original 510 top cap with a chi-you top cap.
Replace the 510 pin with the spare spring that comes with the Kato Square.
Adjust chi-you 510 screw and fit the kick in the barrel.
The 510 tube is a bit larger than a regular battery tube so I wedged in a spare o-ring to get a good negative contact with the side wall. Not an elegant solution, but it works. When I have more time I'll wrap the kick with some heat shrink tubing and foam or something to bulk it up a bit.
Once this is in I had to put the battery in top down and that's it.
Here's some pictures:
510 tube kick - springs and top cap
510 tube kick - chi top cap threads in smooth
510 tube kick - top view
510 tube kick - bottom view
510 tube kick - 10 Watts (I think - it's tough to tell other than full open)
510 tube kick - Full 12 Watts
510 tube kick - with atty sitting flush..
Now it's time to fix that button throw
