My wife, Italian, actually makes those and they are awesome heated with butter at mealtime. Does her family recipe off the top of her head. She though as the rest of her family dont use butter on bread or much else. She often says to me when I get it out to spread on it "ahhh, you Aussies and your butter!" She only has it on toast and roast potatoes. Nothing else.
They dont know what they're missing I say! :giggle:
I meant the lunchmeat but I've had the bread version too. Now I sit here pondering what they would taste like together. And of course afterwards I could have a dirty Martini with some blue cheese stuffed olives on the side.

Ahh that one. Haven't had that in years. The only place that sold it in our small town closed several yrs ago. Did try those stuffed olives maybe 2 yrs back, very nice. 👍
