My koopor plus was dispatched from Sourcemore yesterday. Of course, I probably won't see it for a couple weeks at least, but it's on the way. I'm excited, but I forsee questions in my future. From what I'm seeing, TC is iffy with the crown SS coils, so we'll see how it works for me. There is always the straight wattage .5 coil, though. I need to order a pack. I should be getting a pack of 1.2s in the mail today for the 40 watt istick. The original 1.2 coil is still working well after almost 2 weeks. I hope the .5s last as long.

The Koopor PLus is the heaviest dual battery mod I have ever owned if you are not vaping with it you can use it as a weapon!! it works well its the same chip as the Xcube II so you will get the same output.. I like it better than my Xcube II for its simplicity

I'm glad to hear it can be used for dual purposes. LOL. Like having a brick in my purse maybe. I'm also glad to hear it's simple to use.

Cool, I use my Koopor mini daily. They seem well made.

I agree! I really enjoy mine, too! I don't see many people talk about them and I've been very happy with it. It was kind of an impulse buy. Happy happy.

Yes it should be registered as a weapon its all freaking steel not aluminum so you can guess your purse will suddenly feel like a brick was put inside.. haha you will see

I've only been using mine for about one day, but I had originally wanted to use it with the Crown tank because of the SS coils.

I found out that it is impossible to get an accurate temp reading with the Crown's SS coils. I've been told that they have nickel legs which throw off the reading and make it either impossible or extremely difficult to get a coefficient set and an accurate temp reading.

My thread about this:
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/koopor-plus-ss-temp-control-help.170902/

I'm getting some Ni200 coils to see exactly how the TC on this thing actually works. So far I've just been vaping it in power mode and I like it. The only downside I can see, so far, is that it doesn't power off with the usual 5 clicks of the fire button; you have to go through the menu and turn the power off.

I was reading your thread earlier. It's actually what I was talking about. I'm a bit disappointed, but if TC doesn't work with the crown there's still straight watts on the .25 or .5.

ok all you guys who already play with a koopr plus
i am confused
apparently there is an update available
but according to the koopor website you need a special tool that dealers are suppose to have to do the firmware upgrade. but when I asked at my local BM, they never heard of it and said just plug it into the computer

So how do you update this thing

I'm curious about this too. I wasn't aware that there was an update for the Plus, but I am aware of the Mini update for SS support.

As to how it works I have no idea. I'm assuming that if I plug mine into my computer it'll do the driver search and not be able to find any drivers.

I'd probably recommend, if anyone wants to try hooking it up, to remove the batteries first just in case the computer decides to power the USB.

There is no update on the Koopor site for the Koopor Plus that is for the Mini and the update guide is for the Mini there has been no word as of yet if the same guide will apply to the koopor plus it surely will be interesting though

thanks for clarifying

since many seem to feel the plus has the same chipset as the xcube, one would think you could upgrade it the same way as the xcube...here's hoping

I am hoping they had the sense to fix the Koopor Plus and allow uprading but who knows... since the plus allows you to change the TCR value and I have yet to find any flaws in the current revision It would probably make no difference

Well, apparently, my Kooper Plus was delivered to the post office this morning. Tracking says it's available at a PO box, which makes no sense because I listed the street address of my workplace. We have people pick up the mail three times a day. If it doesn't make it to the lab,I'm calling. I'm excited that it made it to my town so fast, but annoyed because it hasn't made it to the lab. : (
I'm not having much luck with USPS. Bad time of year for them I guess. The mail person scanned my last package in as delivered three days before it actually showed up.

If it did get here, that's way faster than I expected. Six or seven days from Hong Kong seems super fast. I double checked the address and it was correct on the order at sourcemore site so hopefully it makes it to me quickly.

I have the mini. Using it right now. Really crappy battery life on the mini. Works well though. On the mini if you use 5 clicks to lock it and then press and hold the fire button for 8 seconds it will power down. The Plus doesn't do this? I actually like the mini enough to consider the Plus however the update thing really makes me angry. To the point that I might skip Koopor from now on. They certainly know that they have a debacle on their hands at this point. The mini can't be upgraded by the user as you need a USB programming tool. Which to me hints that they cheaped out on including a mini controller in the unit.

This is the first experience with Koopor for me. I've been using an istick for two months. But from what I've seen posted, I think you have to go to a menu to turn it off. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong...

On the mini you can turn it off either way. Lock the mod and then 8 second fire or by the menu. I'd be surprised if you can't do the same on the Plus. But you can see from my mini rant above that I wouldn't be shocked. lol

By the way the temp control seems to work really well on the mini!

Well, I hope I like the plus. I went back and forth a lot before ordering.

The Plus is said to be an all around better mod from what I'm seeing. If the menu is like the Xcube II then I'm sure you'll love it. If the TC works as well as the mini then I'm certain you will.

Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow and can charge the batteries up. I'm anxious to test drive it.

While the mini certainly isn't without it's "isms", I do really like it. I'm a low wattage vapor and haven't messed with TC at all, but I can see how this particular mod could be frustrating for those wanting "MORE!!" out of it.

Now I'm getting frustrated. The package was scanned into the PO yesterday but now they can't find it. Someone's probably vaping on my Koopor Plus right now. LOL. They ate actively searching for it now though.

I hope you like it when you get it !! The plus is a hand full for sure. I had the Mini and the Plus. The Mini broke right after the warranty expired so I trashed it. I gave the Plus to my son and he is still using it. It works well. I got pissed of at Koopor customer service around the whole "special tool" thing needed for the upgrade and swore off Koopor and Smok products. I don't miss them a bit. I will say that they did send me $20 for pre-order price difference compared to what they actually sold for on vape sites. Good luck with the Plus !!!

I've been content with mine so far.

I still think it should be easier to turn off though. Keep it 5 clicks like the industry standard; not 5 clicks to lock and then hold the fire button for 8 seconds, then scroll the power setting to "off", and then hold the fire button until the "goodbye" screen comes up; or click 3 into the menu, scroll over to the power icon, click into the power icon, scroll to power off, then hold the fire button until the goodbye screen lights up.

That's my biggest gripe.

I can't complain about the SS support either because there are so many grades of SS that all have different TCRs, not to mention manufacturers like Crown that use Ni200 legs on their coils that complicate even finding a TCR.

The ability to adjust it has definitely been a plus.

Battery life has been okay, but meh so far as well. I'm using the LG HG2s by the way. I think when I get some of the .15 Ni200 coils the battery life should increase.
