I have spent the last 4.5 hours cleaning up others peoples fuck ups in a database. I'm over this shit... The people who fucked up should fix it... I am not a data entry clerk... go back, fix your own damn entries.... nope, have the system administrator do our jobs for us...
Nothing was broken, nothing required troubleshooting... This was me having to go back and fix typos on the database level that minimum wage data entry folks made, rather than their manager having them go in and edit their mistakes through the applications interface....

It was quite upsetting. I put a lot of effort into dinner. I made the pasta fresh over the weekend and was really looking forward to it.
Just put the kid to bed and having a PBJ now.
Man that sucks. It's like eating something you like and getting down to the last piece that you want in the worst way and dropping it on the floor !

But I didn't do "their job", I made back end database changes to their flawed entries. Everything we do is audited and I got the feeling that their managers were trying to cover for the errors by not having the audit of the interface show time stamped changes.
I'm audited too, so it may not show on their screens, but each DB side edit is annoted with a why and who requested it. Gotta cover my ass!
And I have much better things to do like focus on a never ending project list than waste half a day covering the assess of others...
