Lavabox + extender pack.

I picked up a Lavabox last week, this was an image I posted on a uk forum as a size comparison against a VTbox200.



I ordered an extender pack online yesterday, it was in stock, in red, and pretty much everyone wants MORE runtime from their mod. The pack arrived with the mail this morning.
Now with the extended pack.



Even with the extra bulk, the Lavabox is still slightly lighter than the VT. Oddly, the 900mAh 3s is rated @ 30c constant, 60c burst. The 1300mAh is rated @ 20c constant, 40c burst.

It's about a 15 minute job to swap out, IF your hands work the way hands should. (due to MS turning my hands into 2 bunches of bananas, it took me closer to 35 minutes. )
When I opened it up, the quality fit & finish is more than 'skin deep'



That's a few steps above a strip of yellow, electronic cellophane over the board. Volcano have clearly put a lot of thought into the Lavabox, and haven't cut corners.
I have much love for the VTbox200, I've had 5 of them, both are around the same price, for me, the LB is the better mod
(Plus, you don't need to do scary things with LiPos to get a decent cell in the mod)

I know that, there's no need to change the batt, the 900 is good enough
