leak proof rba?

I am in the market for a hana clone or rdna and I'm wondering which rba would work best for me? I'm a college student so the device will spend a fair amount of time in my book bag, the last thing I want is a wet MacBook o_O So far I've looked into both the orchid and kayfun clones and both seem to have have leaking issues.

Sorry I should've been more specific, I'm more looking for a rta I suppose. I'd rather not tote a bottle of juice everywhere during the day.

Nothing in the world is perfect if you are going to school do not want to take the chance on ruining a Macbook then your best bet is to put it in a safety device maybe a thick plastic bag just to make sure... If I was still in College which thank god Im long done I would do it anyway I do not remember anyone making a leak proof anything yet... maybe a backpack with seperate compartments why take a chance?

Just about the only way a kayfun or orchid will leak is if they are on their side and lose vacuum. Orchid more so than the kayfun. Or left in a hot car.

Keep either one upright in a section of your bag that can kind of lock it in and keep your device upright... and away from anything else electronic just in case you should be fine.

orchid and kayfun WON'T leak as long as you fill correctly and properly wick them. On my orchid I just re wicked this morning I didn't even put any cotton in the channels just enough to cover the top of the juice channel hasn't leaked a single drop. My two kayfun's I filled last night have been in my vape day pack (man purse) just loose rolling around haven't leaked a single drop. I keep all my mods on the side so they don't tip over and break the glass (well not yet, glass is in the mail but I'm just training myself not to leave standing up anymore) so trial and error for now keep it away from that mac book. and when you get the right wicking and filling technique down, you can start leaving it with your laptop. good luck you will love the orchid. hana, I don't own one but if you get one that works, then I'm sure you will love that too.

IMO, any RTA can potentially leak. Not worth the risk when an ounce of prevention is better.

I wouldn't put my vape stuff in with my laptop, I'd have it in a separate pocket or such. Are you trying to hide it?

Consider too, the worst-case scenario of a stuck fire button or other mishap...oops..there goes $1000.

No not trying to hide it, I just don't always want it in my pant pockets, rdna's are a little bulky for that.

You're probably going to want to put your setup in a little hard case of some kind. Not sure about rdna, but non-upgraded Hana's have brass connectors. Doesn't take much pressure applied in the wrong direction for the stainless steel atomizer threads to rip the threads out of a brass connector. Fixed pin connectors made out of brass is in my opinion one of the biggest problems most mods have and it's not talked about enough.

yes i agree, leaks happen. there are open holes and the only thing that is holding liquid in place in some cases are just the vacuum pressure. so things can and will happen. i wouldn't trust it near stuff I don't want to get wet even worse destroying. but yes orchid, kayfuns can be had with minimal leakage but you never know. mine were all solid until yesterday and all three started leaking. I'm thinking the change in outside temp? who knows, i rewicked them all last night and this morning no leaking. so just be careful and you will be fine.

No worries.

Consider too if someone sat on your bag or it got dropped, etc. Yes, big changes in elevation and temperature too can also do bad things to a pressurized RBA...ask any trucker who vapes. ;)

Shit happens. ;)

I keep my vapes separate from other stuff and usually not out of my sight, but that's just me.

I definitely WOULD NOT trust any RTA or RBA type topper if mixed in around expensive electronics . I have thought many times i was safe with vaping gear and for some reason , a drop , pressure changes etc... i got liquid all over the place.

When i need absolute certainty that my vape device with topper won't leak i replace the RTA'a and RBA types with a steel tanked Nautilus with a BVC head and screwed together plenty tight . Never a drop of leakage yet and it has taken a beating. Excellent flavor and vape as well .

Although far than my favorite and not on par with the other's taste wise , although not terrible , a simple Kangertech T2 is as leak proof as you will get.

When traveling i always store my toppers in those little hobby bags (with waterproof sealed lock) , much smaller than sandwich type bags but not as tiny as nickel and dime bags either .

I always put my vape gear in a plastic-lined makeup bag in my purse. It gets really hot here, and it's amazing how heat can manage to make things messy!

I take it back. after all night and day without leaking, the one kayfun after being in 70 degree environment, I brought out to 86 degree heat started leaking badly. so change in temp will make it leak so there is no leak proof device, you just have to keep your device separate from things you don't want to get wet.

I never thought about using a vape band for that, good idea

I've made a vape tampons out of cotton. Just plug that hole up when it's leaking
