LG 18650 Question

Need some quick help. I have a set of LG HE4 2500mah and a set of LG HG2 3000mah. Opinions on what set would work better on a Snow Wolf and what set would work better on a dual 18650 parallel unreg box? Thanks in advance.

They would work just fine in the Snow Wolf, but the HE4 will have more run time unless your using 120+ watts.
These and Samsung 25R's are the batteries I suggest the most to people..

In the 10-15A range, the HG2 with its 3000mAh capacity should out last the HE4. Not by a massive amount, but enough to notice. You'd be looking at around 2300mAh or so at 15A for the HE4 and 2600-27000mAh from the HG2. MAh capacity varies a lot with amp load, so a true figure is hard to nail down.

The 25R is a great cell. Samsung seem to have under rated it both in terms of its current handling and capacity. It's a great cell to recommend almost universally.

I tend to keep the HG2 I have strictly under 20A.LG seem to have spec ed this cell close to its actual ability rather than leave much headroom spare. The HE4 and. 25R I have, I'm less worried about being between 20-25A on. The tests I've seen show that the HG2 can be damaged at not too much over 20A.continuous. Pulse discharging of the cell is different of course, as the cell has rest periods which alow it to cool between discharge events. It's the heat that causes the damage, and continuous discharge builds a lot of heat.

By damage, I mean permanent loss in capacity, not anything dangerous like venting. Don't want to worry anyone, so thought I'd clarify.

Here's a Great Chart of Real Specs for Batteries from Mooch. I suggest you open it in a new Tab and Save it for Viewing.

A great chart.

Seeing it reminds me, if I see @Mooch post, to ask him why the LG HB2 gets a Pass at 40A continuous, and the HB6 g etc a Fail with Damage at 40A continuous, yet from what I can see he hasn't tested the HB2 at 40A. A small discrepancy, that in no way alters that the chart is excellent info. It's just my OCD kicking in.

I think I'm going to pick up some HB2's for my Noisy Cricket series mech.. Just in case I want to have some fun once and a while and set off the smoke detectors. Also got to order some more 25R's.

How are LG HE2s for vaping at 72W on a .2ohm Aspire Cleito Clapton coil?

I was trying to decide whether to get the great, but looong required charge time, LG HG2s but the HE2s are quick to charge and a lot more quickly. I've waited an hour for half used up HG2s and my friend's say HE2s are about as good for sub ohming and charge as most 2500mah batteries do. I had tbe brown HG2s but dropped them too hard to risk using again. Which should I get. I have tons of VTC4s and the HG2s weren't worth the wait in the charger. I vape .2ohms at 72W on the Aspire Cleito Clapton coil. Is the HE2 pushing it or should I go with HG2s and just buy an extra pair to keep charged ?

I heard the VTC5 isn't as good as the LG HE2s so shouldn't that be a good enough cell? I vape higj resistance but only wattage mode and nonless than premade .2ohms sold by the tank company. I vape at a pretty high resistance and may go over 77W. Im getting the Laisimo L1 and don't think the Sony VTC4s are appropriate for a night of vaping because they don't last and I don't think .2ohms at below 80W is too intense for most batteries. It shouldn't be. I feel as if there aren't many options for vapers that subohm reasonably like myself. I rather stick with LG, Samsung or Sony. So are HE2s ok or is the HG2 pair must fo me?

You should be fine with either cell as long as they are authentic's.
