Thanks sup...!
I was impressed. I don't use a lot of super-high-draw batteries, no HB6s or whatever. I have found the Sony VTC4s to be about the best compromise for safety and battery life; capacity vs. ampacity is the trade we have to make. However, these cells are comparable in spec to the VTC4s, with a bit more battery life, and they're 2 bucks cheaper. He also said they didn't hit his "danger mark" of 100ºC until 35A, where he measured 101ºC. That's a helluva cell, you ask me.

I've run VTC4s exclusively, in everything, until I got my RX200s, did the calcs, and decided a 20A battery really was all that was necessary. So I fill my RXs with HG2s. But everything else, all my mechs and one and two battery mods, I use VTC4s. It's be nice to have a viable replacement in the same spec range, especially since Sony hates vapers or doesn't like to sell batteries or whatever other stick is up their ass. Just my 2¢.

We're going to be getting some of these in in a week or two and verifying Mooch's tests, if they pass then we'll be carrying them. Does look like a good alternative to the VTC4. We will be phasing out carrying Sony's batteries, so that's a good thing.
Excellent! Let us know your test results. Not that I don't trust Mooch, of course. But it's always good to have confirmation, and sometimes quality on production lines can vary. Any idea what they changed over the HD2 to give them the additional ampacity?

I have four coming from IMRBatteries. @Jon@LiionWholesale: If you guys had them in stock, I would have bought them from you guys :)

Same here, I usually buy batteries from Liion Wholesale, but needed a couple more sets so I bought them after sup made the post. I'm sure their a damn good 20 amp battery.

And for $5.00 a piece it was hard NOT to buy a dozen....:)

A dozen? Really? I may pick up more of these. If the ones I test from IMRbatteries have an average IR of under 17mΩ at 20°C, I will be buying four more more from them. Else, I will wait for LiionWholesale to carry stock.

They're fantastic. 1500mAh, 25a is all most people need. LG has the HB6 and HB2 cells which are both 30a but HB2 is a tiny bit fewer amps. All 1500mAh. I'm not a big worry wart with mAh, but I love LG for being the first brand to make 30a cells meant for vaporizers.

For the past two days, a couple of us have pitted four HD2C against four brown and four mustard HB4 on builds which draw roughly 40A. Both HB4 hit noticeably harder than the HD2C every single time and without exception. Anxiously awaiting your test results on the H2DC...

Good info. I would expect the HB to hit at least a little harder, it is 3/4 the mAh. We'll see.

Yep we got them in and are partway through testing. Hopefully will have them added by early this week. So far quite a bit better than the VTC4!
Sweet, dude. I haven't the gear to do the testing. I eagerly anticipate your results. I have been getting a bit browned off at Sony and their anti-vape attitude, but I need good batteries for my mechs!

what are people's thought on the samsung 30Q.
My thinking is, it's an excellent 20A, 3000mAh cell. I actually prefer the LG HG2, which cell has identical specs, because it's usually a tiny bit cheaper than the Samsung part. But the Samsung is an excellent battery all the way around. It is not what I would select for a mech mod-- I like more ampacity in my mechs as one never knows when one will get a stuck button or an autofire or something-- but in a regulated mod, in which you do not intend to load the batteries more than 60-70 watts per cell, I can and do heartily recommend the 30Q.

good to hear ..I'm using them in my mech mods but I don't vape below .8 anyway.

They'll take that forever. So long as there's no problem. And it could be imaginary on my part, too. I'm a suspenders and belt kinda dude.

As suspected, the HD2C > VTC4. Though Mooch opted to use 70°C based on the spec sheet operating tempurature, the same spec sheet also indicates 75°C as the maximum. So I am inclined to trust his earlier results based on CDR tempurature which put the HD2C at 25A 2200mAh and the VTC4 at 23A 2100mAh. Pulsed current voltage drop appears nearly identical for both.

It's a very good battery on par with VTC4 at a significantly cheaper price. Need to find time to write up the actual results but it is available on our site at least - LG HD2C.

imrbatteries.com has real Sony VTC4s and liionwholesale has eliminated
sony batteries completely. Apparently, Sony's are not in production but this time it's not a rumor, so the few thousand IMRBATTERIES has in stock are real and I've tested them. Recently. They don't have VTC3s and nobody said VTC5s were easy to come by from trusted battery sites such as the one I'm a fan of. However there's common misconceptions and much misinformation out on the internet and the issue that bugs me is how many people think VTC5s are true 30 continuous discharge batteries and aren't according to the independent tests results I've examined and only benefit they have over the VTC4s is the mAH. I am going possibly risk the 5% chance of receiving unauthentic cells from IMRBATTERIES or sites that aren't specialized battery sites and grab 3 VTC4s and have them checked out since I was told that the only remaining Sony batteries that site sells are the last big batch they had purchase as soon as they heard the news Sony will no longer have 18650s sold especially when it's vaping related sites or applications and even if a description any store online has suggests they are popular for vaporizer devices. I'm also interested in hoping the brand new LG HD4s are a safe and solid 25amp min continuous cell with 2100mAH or less then 100mAH exaggerated in LG's official specs. I was thrilled about the HD2, bought them, and had poor performance on .4ohm 79 W regulated box mod vaping and read the mooch test and was so upset I sold them to a friend who vapes lower resistances than I often do as well as lower resistances at lower wattages but if LG is not lying about this newly available HD4 cell 25amps and 2100mAH is awesome for an RX200"S" model when vaping the TFV4 and my HB4s are best for when I begin to use the TFV8 Cloud Beast subohm tank. I'm a fan of the HB4s and a Wismec Reuleaux RX200S and not disappointed to have purchased the early production model without color options since I prefer silicone sleeves which fit if the DNA 200 model sleeves are applied. Amazon has one directconnection brand that makes the perfect level of snugness and coverage without becoming annoying when removing the sleeve for battery swapping and the variety as well as thickness of the color schemes prevent more than eliquid from entering the device, they are so just thick enough to potential prevent damage from a small fumble from a short distance from the ground. IMRBATTIES has LG HB4s, and HD2s while liionwholesale does NOT HAVE EITHER. Liionwholesale.com rep...what's up with that pathetic supply of LG Chem cells for sale. LG makes around 10 new batteries including the HD4 which JUST came around. Why are you losing customers left and right who want the LG 18650s that many find to be best for them to many other battery sites with competitive prices?

Answered this in the other post, but we do have the HD2C - you want the HD2C, not the HD2. The HD2C is also superior to the HD4. If you don't believe me you can see Mooch's test: https://www.reddit.com/r/electronic...t9lu/lg_hd4_salmon_18650_bench_test_resultsa/

Here's a link to our HD2C (hopefully ok to link since it was directly asked for): http://liionwholesale.com/products/lg-hd2c?variant=17881459588

As for the HB4, we carry both the HB2 and the HB6 which are basically the same thing. If anyone shows conclusive evidence that the HB4 is superior or substantially different in any way then we'd consider carrying it but I haven't seen that and carrying even more versions of that battery is just confusing.

Why would I prefer a Samsung 20R over an HB4 or HB6. Liionwholesale rep. mr. or ms. um.........The HB2 is 22-23 amps continious discharge. Somebody will corroborate this if they are bored surfing the web, by tonight, I'm sure. WHY WOULD LG MAKE 3 of the "SAME" 18650s regardless of LG's own battery specs. We know manufacturers are famously incorrectly claiming battery specs to different degrees. I videoed a vape session with HD2s and one with HB4s the same same evening both 15 minutes long and immediately recorded after the first using .15ohm coils at 105W. HB4s just "hit harder" and the vapor production was doubled. When my TFV8 Cloud Beast Subohm tank V8-T8 .2ohm coil, that's installed from the factory, hits the recommended 120W or even a bit under (the coil can be used without buring while maxing out at 240W if anybody could possible handle that, want that, or afford the eliquid for that) I feel MUCH safer with definite 30amp minimum 3.6 nominal voltage set of batteries that a 22 amp cell that vapes 17 minutes longer if that. So if I was referred to as the "dumb person" which I was but am trying to ignore it for now, I think there's no argument that a Wismec Reuleaux RX200S with the TFV8 Cloud Beast Subohm Tank and it's coil needs is the highest recommended/max wattage at lower resistances than we've ever seen sold for Reg. Box Mods and 30amps would be safer to use. Show me 26amp independently tested by 2 or more sources and I'll agree 26amp batteries, when they exist or might as LG HD4s as we speak, are the most that 200W potential .15ohm coil made and sold by the manufacturer, we would need to use. Plus HB6 and HB4 cells are indeed close enough in performance to bother selling both since apparently IMRBATTERIES' business is doing well, I shop their now for cheap 18650s and every LG, Samsung, Efest, whatever brand a person buys, they have every model on the market until it's no longer available. So Remember this liion-man...HB2s are NOT in the same league as HB4/HB6 cells. Fact. The TFV8 tank being safer if used on a device with true 30amp 18650s...perhaps more enjoyable even, despite these people on this site who have to bust chops of everybody here. I vape better clouds and fire at the button press immediately on my new RX200"S". LG HB4 x 3 and an extra 3 for constant home office vaping...or 25amp LG cells that are really gosh darn 25amps. I'm just saying 20 customers or more have switched to buying at imrbatteries becuase HB6 cells are for mech mods, HB2 are not even 25amps, and HD2Cs, plus HD2s are all a bit under 25amps. It may not scientifically add up but it's the perception and sense of I'm allowed to have if it is so in my life. The F'n end.

LG HD2C 18650s are 2100mAH or so and are according to one random thorough test benchmark etc...they're the 25AMPS truely. I hope the HD4s are as well because I like the faster typed cell name and the letters and numbers look nicer than HD2C as well as the appearance of the battery. I've found my 25 amp from LG. I only purchase Samsung, LG, and formally Sony VTC4s. However the companies themselves aren't breaking any laws by cheesing the spec sheet and are all at least guilty in a minor way of such practices. But LG really saved the day. Sony's aren't as good as my LG HB4s.

one thing though. You're correct about the HD2C 18650s being true 25amp, 3.6 nominal volts, and 2100mAH and I was ignorant to that. However you need to look at the power the HB4s harness for longer and are suited for powerful "super" subohming with manufacturer built/sold replacement coils that are for vapers using regulated box mods. HB6s aren't as consistent throughout the charge and are certainly specifically for mech mods and custom built coils. HB2s should and might be the first battery LG just ceases production on. So Look up those tests.

There's a gnats cock between the HB2 HB4 and HB6. The difference is so slight it's hardly worth mentioning. Take one Vape on a mech and as if by magic, the next will hit less hard than the first. For how hard a battery will hit, the only way is down.

Any HB series cell will serve people well for very low ohm builds. I find the differences between the HB series and Aspires 1800mAh ICR much more interesting. The Aspire has a flatter discharge curve than a HB cell and the difference between the two is noticeable.

Cell choice won't change general Vape characteristics of a regulated mod. It will dictate how long a set of cells last and for how long they can sustain wattages higher up the mods range. Three HB series in a tri-series mod is a bit of a waste, as the amp draw at 200W is only 21A. Even with a 250W upgrade, the LG HD2C covers amp draw and gives 2100mAh extra (700mAh per cell.

Personally, I think the range of cells at liionwholesale.com are more than sufficient.
