Like NeBox, but better? Help!

Hey Guys,

I'm admittedly a complete novice at this. I got my wife an Nebox for Christmas and also a Dripbox as a backup recently. She is rough on things and the Nebox has begun to malfunction. With little to no warranty on these things, I am looking at a possible replacement.

I know she likes the looks and function of the Nebox, but read some folks think it has issues and also there are better units now. Is this so? If so, which would you say are similar in function and form but better?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sold on the Egrip II. Should I just buy it from the manufacturer site only? I see it cheaper elsewhere but worry about warranty and authenticity...

If I did get it somewhere else, there are so many sites I'd just be overwhelmed.

Egrip ll does look like a great mod. But for some similar mods that have external batteries, plus they review the egrip ll, try the link above.

Usually you can get better deals in other places, the manufacturer's stores are more expensive in most cases.

Great now I am stuck between the Egrip 2 and much cheaper Summa. She already has batteries. It didn't say how long the Egrip goes between charges either...
Hello
You can look on youtube to see if they give any indication of battery life of the Egrip ll and additional reviews of the device or post a question asking that question. You can also ask or look on youtube for more reviews regarding the summa. A popular question title would be "Egrip ll Vs Summa". You cannot beat an actual users advice.
Good luck.

I do not own either of these devices, but I can tell you that the chip in the Egrip 2 is rock solid. I own 6 devices with the Wismec/Joyetech chip set and they are all trouble free and rock solid. My oldest is my eVic VTC Mini, I've had it for 9 months or so at this point, and never had a single issue with the chip in it. The 510 connector is starting to get a little wonky from daily use since I got it, but otherwise it is still cranking out the vapor.

I usually find the best prices at myvaporstore.com for just about all mods, tanks, coils and other accessories. They ship fast and the shipping costs only $5.50.

DaPurple- Kanger has just come out with the Cupti- very similar to the Nebox-
here is a link from a VU vendor
https://www.perfecthitejuice.com/products/cupti-full-starter-kit
This takes external 18650 battery and I believe you can also buy a rebuildable coil for this too.
The eGrip2 looks nice , I don't own this but I do have 2 egrip OLEDs and love those, but have only had them for a few months and when using the RBA coil I sometimes get minor leaking.I bought a CS base and can use eLeaf gsair coils and now there is no leaking.
In the long run I like that the Cupti has an external battery, easier to replace an 18650 battery instead of replacing a device when the internal built in battery dies!

  1. I have a Plato and I love it with the 0.4 ohm coils but they are pricey. The new Kanger Cupti has me tempted because of the RBA option.

I too have Plato & just received Cupti. I also have Egrip II, Nebox & Summa.

I was a fan of the Plato when I first got it. Smartly designed case, light weight, ease of tank & battery access and good flavor off the DTL Coils had me excited. The lack of coil availability for TC Coils, messy tank filling, absence of vape while charging & poor overall board interface killed it for me. When Aspire eliminated Ti mode rather than manufacture Ti coils for it I decided I wanted nothing further to do with the device. I am a TC DTL vaper and could not buy a TC DTL coil from Aspire. You would think a coil manufacturer would be happy to manufacture TC coils for the device, but rather tan do that they would hobble the capabilities of the device.

Cupti is a smartly set up unit that solves a lot of issues and:
  • Stock Coils have restrictive airflow and somewhat muted flavor compared to Nebox.
  • Cupti really does not leak but can be messy to fill and can overflow on to panel if you overfill.
  • Cupti has half the juice capacity of Nebox.
  • Cupti has same firing Delay as Nebox
  • Cupti has no control over wattage in TC Modes.
  • Cupti eases into applying power to the coil in TC Mode rather than burst a full 75w at the coil to quickly preheat it.
  • The result is a significant ramp up time to coil Temp in TC.
  • With Nebox, you have control of Wattage in TC Mode to control your preheat for much quicker time to vape temp.
  • Cupti has great ergonomics.
  • no Firmware update
  • The CLRBA option has not yet been released.
  • The CLRBA performance is unknown, but its size dictates a lack of versatility.
  • Battery swaps quick & easy.

So I have been reading and watching You Tube and I still don't know which one to get Plato or Cupti???? I had the Nebox but the leaking got on my nerves. Please help. I need something like now. :)

All in one? I like my eVic AIO, but you need a spiral or screened tip.
