Limitless RDTA + question

Question for all you owners out there. I've had my plus for about 2 weeks now. Previously I was on the cleito. I feel like I was getting more robust flavor from my cleito. Don't get me wrong I can still taste the flavor from the plus, and I love the tank. But I feel like I just had a more flavorful experience from my cleito. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using japanese organic cotton, pretty sure I'm wicking it with the right amount. Not too much nor too little, just a little snug. Also noticing that my darker juices and mainly custard flavors really gunk my coils and the flavor drops dramatically after 1 day. Vaping at 60-70 watts on SS316L coils @ 0.25 ohms. I haven't tried single coil yet. Any ideas?

I kind of have the same experience with all the Genny style tanks including the Limitless. They're cloud monsters but for me the flavor just isn't there. I get better flavor from my Boreas, Merlin, Alleria, Aromamizer, and Griffin.

I think I've been coming to that conclusion just wasn't ready to admit it lol. Clouds for days but the flavor isn't really there. I've looked into the Aromamizer and griffin. Any opinions on either?

I have the Aromamizer not the Supreme. Most people say the Boreas is a poor man's Aromamizer Supreme. The Griffin 25 and the regular Griffin are awesome. I like the 25 better. Tough call between the 25 and the Boreas. Both have excellent flavor and clouds. I run a single coil in my Avocado and I find the flavor to be better. Never ran a single in my Limitless.

I like the airflow better on the Boreas than aromamizer Supreme..... And the Boreas feels tougher too...... Nicely built, but the Aromamizer looks more higher class in looks of stainless steel and smoother threads...... It's just more refined...... But I own (3) Boreas rtas....

I own the Aromamizer V1, Aromamizer Supreme, Boreas, Griffin 22 and 25... if you want BOTH flavor and vapor, get the Boreas. For flavor, get the Griffin 22.

You can also try a longer narrower drip tip. Worked on some other set ups I've used. Not tried it with the plus though.

I appreciate all the responses everyone. I'm narrowing my list down to the Boreas, Aromamizer supreme, and Griffin. Hmm. Tough choices. For the mean time I'm going to try a single coil in my limitless as well as a different drip tip. Again thanks all.

I'm assuming you have your coils sitting high enough on the Limitless + so that the air is coming in the slots below the coils right? Coil position makes a huge difference flavor wise in the Limitless

My coils are pretty even with the air slots. Can't believe I didn't think of that. I'm going to adjust them up more and report back. Thanks!

Just to make sure, your looking at getting the 22mm Griffin right. The 25 isn't a bad Atty, but there are dozens of 25 Atomizers that are better than it (including the mini version). The 22 can be a bit of a pain and doesn't hold as much juice but it's payoff is great.

Most of this is about about airflow, chamber, and chimney. The Huge chuff cap idea LMC really likes doesn't help with flavor. The airflow they have doesn't help with flavor. The chamber is gigantic and that doesn't help with flavor. If you want a Genny that's all about flavor get the avacado 22. The 24 isn't bad either but the 22 wins. Otherwise with the Limitless RDTA plus you need very heavy (lots of mass) coils with tons of power to make it shine. But that is what people like the Limitless for. It allows for more exotic coils in a genny where they can have this huge airflow to feed air to those giant coils and practically be kissing the dragon while taking a drag. When you do that the flavor is there.

Right on. I've had my eye on an avocado for a while but bought the limitless instead. I put a new build in my limitless. 26ga kanthal wrapped with 32ga nichrome. 6 wraps each and ohming out to .18. Flavor is better then it was before by angling the coils above the air slots. It's better but I still think I'm going to buy a couple more tanks. The avocado is definitely 1 I'm going to buy, along with the Aromamizer supreme. Anyways thanks for the help I appreciate it.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Aromamizer Supreme.
I've had several other tanks, and this one gives me leakless flavor.
There's a nice video on setting it up that has been flawless.

I just bought 4 Avocados, and 2 Griffins. I have a Boreas but will get another one. As for the Limitless, spread your coils out.

What the hell is the name of the RDA that has dual air flow holes on each side that are at an angle, 3 rows? I keep wanting to say Velocity but that's not it. The holes are at a diagonal, 3 rows.

What do you all think of the Garagas RDTA? I just bought the love of my life Garagas Mod. Particularly the light wood with brass. I adore specialty wood mods. This is VW only so I can dig it. Got one for my Dad, too in black.

BTW, I have 19 windows open if that give you any indication of my vape shopping plight.

I only saw one guy review it so far. I believe it was Ohm Boy Josh.

No, it's an older RDA. I saw the Goon but not the Droid I'm looking for.

Hmmm. I've 3 of the Crown II. 1 open because I want to test out the new coil that I got directly from Uwell. But, the Gragas plus the Crown kinda rained on my parade. I'll have to dig into this deeper. But, your video was straight forward and no holes barred. Tanks Deuces.

This actually helped out a lot. I'm running a spaced build instead of contact coils and the flavor is better. Thanks!

Even the coils that came with limitless work good in it. You just have to run em at higher wattage. Around 130-170Watt they produce tons of flavor and vapor.

Ok, I'll probably build around .15 my next set of coils and give that a shot. So far I'm getting pretty good flavor from spaced coils. Thanks for the tip!

I run it with a two strand twisted 28g @ .31 ohm 2mm built on a series mech mod and it is a flavor monster. No spitback just a large volume of dense vapor. It did just as well with any parallel configuration built that was between .30 and .35 Ohm.

yah, i've gotten great flavor running in single coil mode. SS316L build and standard clapton build. run both at around 50 watts. i always make sure my coils are above the air slots and i close my air flow off quite a bit. like around 1/4 open, maybe even more closed off than that. tons of flavor and
dense vapor.

This is my latest build. Flavor seems to be good now. Everyone that said the plus really needs over the top builds was right. This is 10 wraps of demon killer alien coil. Ohms are 0.42, vaping around 80 watts. My next build will probably be 8 wraps, 10 is a really tight fit for the threaded ring. But flavor seems to be pretty good now so I'm glad it's solved for me.

Edit: hang on my pics are too large I'm trying to upload them now

Another thought, try metering the airflow down some. Your cloud production will take a hit, but should increase the flavor in the process.

Thanks, I did do that. After building 8 and 10 wrap aliens the flavor really came out. I was only building around 5-6 wrap before.

Oh. Ok. Wasn't sure. Figured you had, but couldn't hurt either way. Glad you found a way to get the flavor that you wanted.

Looking good, I want to get a tip for mine also, not sure about that fasttech shipping though. How long did it take from order to delivery?

I had one. I think your getting it now from the pics you posted. It needs massive coils for that chamber. They need to be the length of the air slots. The bigger the better for this device. Now all you need is a Gallon of ejuice a week to keep it running. Lol.

Latest build.

Nice build you have there. I currently have a dual-coil clapton clocking in at .45 ohms in 5 wraps. Coils are situated above the airflow, which is about only 1/3 open each side. Vaping it at 45 watts and it's giving decent flavor and a lot of clouds.

So what's everyone's opinion. Dual coil or single coil on their plus? I'm liking this tank but have yet to try it with a single coil. I quests the real question is whether or not I should try a single coil in it

Will the fit the v1?

Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

mine is the L+ V1. fits perfect. if you're referring to the original Limitless RDTA, it will fit, but will look silly. also needs a layer of teflon tape or it will be too loose.

That doesn't look like my limitless plus v1... That looks like the revised version 2 with the shorty top.... Mine has a longer tip & a 510 adapter in the box.

Ill just grab a version 2 to have it and a tip ;)

Oh yeah definitely needs massive coils. And no kidding on the ejuice, I'm running through so much juice it's comical. But the flavor is really on point now. All my future builds will be minimum 8 wraps in this beast lol.

Thanks. Airflow for me is about 75% open with the 8 wrap build. Giving good flavor and clouds at 70 watts @ 0.35 ohm.

I tried a single coil for my first build after I bought mine. I realized that you have to take advantage of the large building deck (8 loops above), as your hit would be too airy if the coil occupies only a small space. I tried 6 loops of 24g Kanthal, and even with the airflow only 1/4 open, I'm not satisfied. Make us of the large space.

Just my two cents.
