Locktight for RDA threads??

I have owned a magma clone from focalecig for around 2 months now. Every time I refill it, i unscrew it from my power source, remove the top and drip.

At this point, the threads on my magma won't allow it to even screw into a device. They have eroded too much it would appear.

Has anyone any experience with using locktight to bring some vitality back to dead threads?

Thanks guys

Please read the precautions for loctite. Not advisable. Get yourself a 510 adaptor. Enjoy the day!

The problem is that the magma threads are too far gone at this point. Would it even screw into that thing?

maybe just buy another ATTY. can i ask why you remove it from the battery when you drip? I'm just curious.

I screw on the top pretty tight, and it leaks condensation everytime I unscrew it. If I were to try and remove and replace the topcap while it was screwed into the mech mod / box mod I'd fear stripping their threads.

I'm kind of new to this, and the magma is a $14 clone so it might just have shitty threads? I have ordered an orchid online so I will have something else to use.

It appears the threads on my boxmod are thicker than the ones on my mech mod because the magma still screws in properly to that.

Ugh clones

ahh I see. well 14 bucks, just buy another one.

I guess that is one more thing I don't miss from dripping. I have been exclusively vaping orchids and modded kayfuns for about three or four weeks now.

my last dripper was a patriot clone V1 and it had a loose cap so loose if I turned it upside down it would fall off. I also had some that took a grip of death to remove the cap. but alas, i don't deal with that anymore.

if you have never used a kayfun type of atty, for your first tank I would put in juice you don't really care about because most likely you will leak half the tank before you get it set up just right. even going from a V3 to V4 I had to change filling techniques.

sorta. there is a top piece which is the positive poles and the bottom is a screw it's used to keep the pin from raising out of the ATTY. but you can adjust to a certain point. if you are worried about it protruding for a hybrid cap it's fine. mine sticks out about 1mm,

I really liked my Magma, but it's a total PITA to unscrew the cap to drop. I tried using a wide bore DT and dripping into that, but even without filling the well, juice would leak out of the air holes. And the condensation issue. It sits since I favor my Quasar, Plume Veil, and CLT2 Plus. Innovative design, great flavor, holds lots of juice, but too finicky.

Grind some metal away around the air hole so the juice flows down to the well instead of down into the air hole.
Also a kayfun oring in the groove under the air flow ring will help keep it in one place.

Put that magma back into rotation!

I just got an Orchid v3 this week and cannot figure out how to fill it without leaking half the tank. Should have gone with the larger v4. Orchid v2 is pretty easy to work with. v3 has me stumped. The v3 is the shorter tank Orchid.

Check out the orchid modification thread, lots of tips in there.

yes it happens but only on my V4. V3 is just remove screw, fill and replace screw. my V4 I crack the base loose and tilt the atty about 45* with the fill hole pointed down. I then fill very slow so that the internal pressure won't push the juice through the juice channels and out the chimney and down the drip tip. when it gets about 1/4 full i position the atty vertical and continue to fill but still slowly until the air bubble just hides under the bottom ring. then tighten up the base plate and then replace the screw. 95% of the time i can get it without any spills or gurgling. try this it might help. but like I said my v3 is just fill like normal but it might help you.
