Would freezing preserve flavor concentrates better than leaving them in a dark place? I am about to acquire some extra flavoring that I already have and based on current rates of usage would not open for about another year and a half. Just looking to increase the lifespan on the flavor concentrates.

The darker and colder, the more you slow down the inevitable deterioration of flavoring, but why buy now if you won't use it at all for a year and half?
Most flavorings are PG-based, so they won't become solids in the freezer. But some of the components will separate, especially when cooled. It'll be important to let them warm to room temp and shake them well before using them. I'd consider it an experiment - year and a half is about the stated 'use before' date of most flavorings.

HIC,
When I drove home to Michigan from Arizona (it was still winter here) I left my flavorings (mostly 8ml TFA at that time) in the trunk for a day or 2 when I arrived. When I unpacked them, a few were frozen. IIRC they were some of the darker ones (think vanilla bourbon). I'm not sure if any damage was done, but it didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Cheers,
Steve

I placed an order for what I needed. Some of the bottles arrived with small amounts of leakage, like maybe 3mls gone out of a couple 30 ml bottles. I wasn't upset, but contacted the distributor as an FYI. Without asking for it, they resent my entire order. So now I have essentially double the amount I was trying to get and some of the initial order should last at least a year and a half.

you think it will last that long until you slip into a mixing frenzy lol, then you will start mixing for friends then poof all gone :) I bet they will be fine but regardless of what you do over a year is a long time. I might use the fridge if you have room instead of the freezer. Id start trying to see if other people here might want to do some flavor swapping or something and try some different things.

I know your situation is a little different this time but I always say only buy what you are going to use within the next 6 months tops anymore than that is a waste. yes you can save $100 over the coarse of a year maybe but if you are mixing for yourself you will find over the next year your taste will change to. who knows what my favorite vape was last year, I cant even remember but I know for sure Im over it and have moved on lol.

I have flavors 2 years old in my little box that still smell like they are ok but ill never use them because they are 2 yrs old ! hahahaha but man who can throw away flavors ! they just get rotated to the never will be used box. someday ill get the courage to toss them and watch all that $$$ say goodbye.
