Hi I have an aspire Plato And I bought a new battery for it as a spare but I've noticed it doesn't work as well as the one that came with the mod.. it's a blue 18650 3.7V 2500mah battery that I bought (same specifications as the one that came with the mod).. if anyone knows of a good battery that will hold up with my original one and at a reasonable cost I'd be very greatful

rule number 1 of batteries. never trust the label. they almost always lie. Rule 2 buy only Samsung or LG batteries from reputable sites.

With that said, for your mod I suggest either the Samsung 30q or LG HG2. both are pretty much the same
good sites are
illumn.com or liionwholesale.com
Id recommend buying 2 batteries to split shipping and they come with a free battery case if you do

Link http://www.illumn.com/18650-lg-18650g2-3000mah-high-discharge-flat-top.html

about 16 bucks for a pair including shipping

According to mooch that's a solid battery. On part with the lg2 and 30q but apparently the 30q is still slightly better then both but not enough imo to make a difference

Never tried a 30q but I have tried the VTc6, the lg he4, hb2, and the ihmren 3200mah max40a..... And the VRK is compatible with all of them....

I like them and I seem to be grabbing them more often than the rest.......

I like them being honest.... a good cell

Hey wouldn't that battery in the link is 3000mah and the battery that came with my Plato is 2500mah so would that still be compatible? Because I really don't want to take the chance of messing it up it's my only one.

no that wouldn't mess it up at all. any 18650 3.7v battery would work fine on it and not mess up the mod. the mah is basically just how long it lasts before needing to recharge. the higher the mah though typically the lower the mac amps on the battery. so for instance the HG2 is a 20 amp battery and 3000mah where the HB6 is a 1500mah battery but can handle 30 amps. so it depends on what you use them for. for you in a regulated mod thats max is 50 watts, a 20 amp battery is more then enough.
