Biggest problem is that real Cotton Candy is made with 95-100% White Sugar.
Something we can't vape unfortunately, and the artificial sweeteners just don't cut it IMO.

Have you tried any TFA Circus Cotton Candy?
I've only used it a couple times awhile back, and I can't even remember what it tasted like, lol.
Brown Sugar, FA Meringue, FA Marshmallow, or other sweet flavors might help in small amounts like 0.5% each.
Probably still gonna need a bit of sweetener added.

Think I remember reading somewhere that some were just mixing like 10% Cotton Candy/EM.
Not positive on the amount tho, could have been even more, lol.

My wife vapes 1 flavor juice for the last 2 1/2 years and its Cotton Candy. First I ordered different CC's from different companies but she settled on JuiceMafia cotton candy and vaped that. I got into DIY and began the search to make her a juice so I wasn't spending 25USD bucks for 100mls anymore. I built cotton candies as stand alones 5%, 3% and 2% but they all turned into syrup and tasted awful, they were epic failures.
One night in a drunken stooper I was filling my cola and not watching what I was doing, I accidently put HS desert ship into my cola atty and began to vape away....OMG the cola was a lot more prominent and tasted better like the DS popped the cola out. My first attempt at using HS desert ship as a base for the cotton candy was 6% HS Desert Ship and 2% Signature Circus Cotton Candy, it was too sweet and syrupy but really good and much better than a CC standalone. I finally after more attempts and failures I ended up with mixing 4.5% DS and 3/4% Sig CC and its still abit sweet to me but tastes like cotton candy and the smell of the exhale is like walking past the CC vendor at the fair. She vapes @50mls a week of my DIY Sig cotton candy mix for the last year and absolutely loves it. Its not a atty gunker since she can usually run a couple weeks on a 1.6ohm rayon subtank atty.
Best part is that I took a 50USD bucks a month commercial juice and turned it into @ 5 bucks a month DIY juice.
Sidenote--A few months back I slid a atty of her old JuiceMafia cotton candy to her without telling her and she yelled from upstairs "what the fuck is this garbage", I told her and she cant believe she vaped that and liked it compared to my DIY CC juice. No offence to JuiceMafia, they do have good juices.

Interesting idea, I like it, and who would have thought a tobacco flavor might work for this, lol.
One of the tobacco flavors I don't have unfortunately.
Might give the OP and others a shot at it anyways.

BTW you should post your recipe in the Recipe Thread so more people could see it IMO.

I've been using HS tobaccos for a long long time now and they are superb as bases for other flavor mixes. Hangsen Desert Ship, Highway and No5 are my tobacs of choice, they are subtle and grassy tasting exactly what I like in a vape. I use them at 6% for my vaping needs. I have wandered off the HS path with some Capellas, FlavorArt and INW and they have a stale taste, chemical or ashy like licking a ashtray or eating dirt....YUK.
I'm a tobacco vaper spending my spare time concocting tobacco/TA blends and loving the vape. Since I overcame my wife's CC vape need I have ample time to refine my tobac vapes to my liking.
INW Virginia TA, RTS TA, INW Garuda TA and CohibaSC(super concentrate) are great tobacco absolutes I use in my blends. My next step once I get some tobac leaves is to make my own NET's but thats going to take some research to get the right leaves for the flavor I want.

I've been using this one for a couple years now: (but have been vaping more creamy fruit stuff lately).
VZ-SC Parliament or (ECX)FE Parlor 2%, (VZ-SC Virginia Flue Cured was another favorite)
INW Virginia TA 2%
INW DNB 0.5-1%

I made one NET, which is still steeping, gonna have to strain it out one of these days.

EM/Cotton Candy are different additives than sweeteners.
But both can be hard on coils.
Liquid Stevia Extract seems to be less so.
But I only use a drop or 2, sometimes, of Stevia or Sweetener, in 15ml.
EM & Cotton Candy I try to keep around 0.5% if using any at all.
