Looking for a "how to" for coil building

I was hoping that there would be one stickied already but apparently not. Does anyone know of a basic coil building how to that I could benefit from? I've watched some on youtube but am skeptic to follow some of them and I'm constantly asking "why?"

For example, I've read somewhere that a 3/36th drill bit should be used for micro coils... Why a 3/36th drill bit and not a 4 or even 5/36th? does it make a difference?

Also I know that the difference in micro and macro is the size diameter of the coil but what vaping difference is there?

I feel that the concepts are fairly simple but something like this I still like to know Exactly what I'm doing before I dive in head first!

Do any of yall have a "how to" I can take a look at?

Also anything on the difference between wire? I've got a istick TC 40watt but have been mainly using it in Wattage mode... so I'm considering starting my builds with kanthal but due to my inexperience I don't know if there is a "better" wire for flavor and vapor production... I've currently got some ni200 wire but it tastes like a barrel of week old fish heads in the summer when I try to vape it... Also what is your wire source? Website?

Have you tried vaping it in the winter? Sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

No it has always been in TC mode with the nickel

It's really a matter of you trying things out for yourself...no easy fix.....you have to see for yourself what kind of vape you like....and taste is so subjective nobody has a stock answer.....you may try an atty people rave about and think it sucks..you're right it does suck for you, somebody else's dream vape...
