I would go with a iStick 30 or 50, and a Kanger Subtank. But that's just me. I've used Aspire tanks, and it seems that the airflow is not adequate unless you plan on getting her into sub ohm territory. I like the Subtank Mini, just buy her a pack of the 1.2ohm coil replacements when you get the tank. VapeNW has a good deal on all of that gear, especially if you live on the West half of the country, they are located in Washington. There are always many other places for "deals" as well though. Good for you, and excellent for her!

These kits are better than the ego kit I started out with back in 2010. They are only 7.95 plus shipping.

Grand Total Excl. Tax $10.63 including 2.68 for shipping. If your a first time buyer use coupon code: NEWMFS15

Lots of coupon codes out on google. (The above is only a suggestion). Good luck! If you use the coupon you can get it for

Grand Total Incl. Tax $9.44

Nice. But based on the reviews, the coil is not replaceable. I've never seen disposable evods before. The battery is worth the price but you might want to back it up with another clearo, maybe a protank mini 3 or something.

I thought the coils in those tanks were replaceable

Heck, at that price even if the heads aren't replaceable (it appears they are), you'd be able to go far enough to determine whether or not OP's mom is going to take to vaping, and if she does then she'll have something to get by with while considering options for a slightly better starter setup, plus a backup in case the main rig goes down or needs to charge! Win = @Artemis

I agree with Artemis - get her the starter set listed above. Anything too big might put her off - lots of slightly older people want something smaller to start with. If you get her the right nic level and flavor that starter set should do the job!

I wouldn't start someone off with a Subtank. For one it's going to be heavy and not as easy to carry around at first. I still carry an ego and small tank when I can't carry my VaporShark and Arctic. Does it suck? Of course. But it works. I personally think everyone starting out should get at least 1 ego battery and tank. Much more portable. The easier it is to carry, the less likely they will go to analogs. I personally like the Aspire ET-S and Kanger Mini Protank 3 if I have to go to egos.

At the moment I am trying out one of the eGo One tanks.
Small footprint and awesome flavor and vapor with the 0.50 ohm heads.
Nicely made and the airflow control is great!

Many people starting to vape, inhale as if they are smoking cigarettes. Anything sub ohm could choke them. Istick 20w or 30w paired with a mini nauti would be my first choice. The GS air series has got lot of good reviews as well for it's pricing and production.

An Ego kit is a great starter. If she likes it, she can take the money she would spend on a carton of smokes and buy something else (if she needs to!) :)

I've been telling these guys them GS Air's are some great cheap tanks and look good too. Not to mention the cleanest tank as far as never needing wiped off really.

If you can wait a couple weeks for a delivery hit up Fasttech. They have tons of options and kits available for under $50. Same stuff the local b&m would sell for over $100 but FT doesn't have to pay rent, utilities, insurance etc. I loved my Cloupor mini and Lemo Drop combo before I got another Billet Box (which for ME is the perfect pocket mod). Some people are concerned with the early release combustibility issue though, but I never had an issue with mine (dry fired at 30 watts for 15 secs every time I did a rebuild). If it helps you sleep better, go with an Istick, or even a Vision Spinner for ease of use.

As for an atty, I would say try anything Aspire with BVC coils(only authentic ones). I was using bvc's with a Billet Bridge before I discovered Siluro attys for the BB, but if you're looking for simplicity and a great vape with flavor and vapor and longevity, that's the direction I would go.

All of this BTW is available from FT. You just have to deal with the 2 week wait for delivery. If you need to return anything, shipping is on you and it goes back to Florida when you get an RMA. Stay away from AngelCigs though. They have a US warehouse but if you have a problem, they want you to ship your return back to China (even if you bought it in the US). That costs a ton of money to you and is usually more than the item you are trying to return if not more!

FocalEcig has also been very easy to work with. Great China prices with a USA warehouse and USA returns. Had some Robot ZNA clones that all had bad chips (no fault of Focal) and my returns were handled quickly and courteously! Best of the China vendors I have worked with so far.

INNOKIN ITASTE MVP 20W $24.99 free shipping

The new 20 Watt is where it’s at! With more power in such a small package, you can’t go wrong with this little beast! Amazing Value. Free Shipping!

My mom loves her MVP 2 . At (I think) around 11 watts it is more power than she ever needs, and this one has 20. I remember when those things retailed for fifty or sixty bucks. If you don't mind looking a little dated (and I bet your mom won't care) this could be great. Nice long battery life, too.
