So, with all the good 26's on the market now, I am looking for a great mod (preferably under 35$) to replace my current 26650 stingrays and a faulty Dreadnaut.

I loved my 26650 Stingray X from fastech until the magnets demagnetized. It's now a cool tube because its impossible to get those magnets out.. if they are even magnets. Probably a rock thats magnetic coated.. I also have a cheap stingray which outlast its bigger brother.. Claimed to be copper, but it was coper coated. boo.

So, I am looking for something that has a recess button, is copper and the pins aren't constantly being adjusted. I've been eyeing 2 different mods. Mutant, Panzer and 2SIX.. Is there something else I should be looking at and how do these perform? Also, who makes the better clones? I would prefer not to order from China, takes forever to get those things over here.

I went with a black/copper mutant. I can't wait for it to arrive!

I'm eyeing a manhattan 26650. I dislike fiddling with locking rings and had a panzer 18650 fire in my cup holder, burnt up the juice in my kayfun as well as the deck insulator. I like my 18650 manhattan clone and with the strength of the magnets, I think you would take effort to cause accidental firings or extreme carelessness.

I was checking out the manhattan as well but anything with a recess button is dope. I buy only recess now because I had a similar story.

I had a nemisis with a legit veritas on my bed, lock ring got stuck for some reason, was perfectly smooth... but it was laying on my bed, i was on my laptop and i felt my back get warm, then really warm.. thought to my self oh ***********!@@! It put a hole through my comforter, melted my veritas insulator which i ordered replacements of and he never ... sent them... he's MIA.

What I was saying is a recessed button doesn't guarantee no misfires, especially if it had a weaker spring or magnets. The panzer would qualify as a recessed button, but something else in my cup holder pushed on the button and fired it under its own weight.

The magnets in the manhattan are extremely strong, you would have to wedge the mod in a tight space to get a misfire. My copper(heavy) 18650 manhattan doesn't come close to firing when sitting on its button. The only bad thing is that if you work around metal shavings it will pick them up. Hard to clean metal shavings of a strong magnet, if you don't clean them of they work their way into the button and make it sticky. An air gun for an air compressor works decent, gonna try duct tape next time.

Btw, if anyone knows of a mod with magnets with the strength of the manhattan, I'd definitely be interested in a slimmer mod with that feature.

Just ordered a Tesla M7 to try. 25 bucks @ fasttech. Spring button though. they take paypal
Seemed like video reviews were good, but we'll see

I recently purchased a Copper Manhattan 26650 clone (Well, technically they're original if you consider the fact that AV doesn't make a Manhattan 26650)
It appears to be made very well, but so far I've had nothing but trouble. I paired it with a Copper Tohb which I also assume to be a clone. It came with three pins. If I use the smallest pin, the pin will slip around in the little sheath with the threads on it. It will then fire only half the time-- but at least there are no gaps aesthetically.
If I use the slightly larger pin, it works much better and fires consistently. However, now it fires off under its own weight and there are gaps in the mod. To fix this, I instead put the gap between the Mod and RDA, making sure to first attach everything but the RDA, push the sliding pin all the way up, and then screw the RDA back on, which pushed the pin against the battery. This seems to make everything work, except theres a very very small gap between the RDA and the mod. Also, it will occasionally stop firing in the middle of a puff for a split second, then resume.
The mod is too damn heavy-- or the magnet is too weak. Either way, unless you get things dialed in just right, it will misfire by itself, or not fire properly.
I'll keep messing with it, and if I figure out a solution, I'll let you all know. Maybe I should try a small RDA. I really like my 18650 Manhattan clone, so I had high hopes for this.

Been using the Tesla M7 for a little while now, and I really like it. Well made, smooth threading, great recessed button, etc.
