Hi all-
I just built my first coil using Kangertech Topbox mini RBA deck. I'm at 0.77 ohms and vaping at 26 w seems good, even though I am used to vaping prebuilt 0.5 olm coils at 40 w.
Looking for a new RBA I can vape under 50 watts (my mods are 75 & 80w but I rarely go over 40w). I may get another mod, too, but really like the Kanger bc it fits my small hand & is lightweight. I have an 80w Pico, which is a little too small for all-day comfort but great for when I'm on the go.. I vape all day, so my hand gets tired using those big boxy ones and cramps up using the tiny pico.
In the mean time, I'm looking for an RBA with 2.5+ ml capacity, 22mm is preferable so it'll fit my mods. I don't care much about clouds, am more interested in a good consistent flavor and fairly easy build. A big plus would be the ability to buy pre-made replacement coils so I wouldn't have to necessarily build coils. Gotta have a tank which is easy to pull apart & easy to fill, because my hands are old and decrepit. Preferably one that doesn't leak. (under $50)
I like the Congrevape Doge, but it's super-subohm and vapes best over 100 w. Not crazy about the wide bore drip tip, either. This thing uses notched 0.2 ohm coils (Helyx) which can be rewicked, but also comes with an RBA build deck which I can presumably build at 0.5 ohms.
The math on these things kinda confounds me, even though I've seen dozens of videos and read a bunch of info on it. Here's my question: Since lower olm coils support higher wattages, would I be able to enjoy vaping at 80 or 100 watts using 0.2 olms if I am used to 40 watts at 0.5 ohms? When building your own coils, does thicker wire make a finished product that registers lower or higher ohms?
Any suggestions for purchasing the flavor-loving tank of my dreams?
