looking for vanilla custard

i need advice on getting a vanilla custard taste without actually using vanilla custard flavor, could that be done?

no i am looking for a recipe that would taste like vanilla custard that doesn't contain the actual flavor (vanilla custard V1 or V2 or other vendors), i prefer using flavourart flavors and i have the custard flavor but it is not the same taste you would get from vanilla custard, i could use some TPA flavors but hopefully safe ones or with minimum percentages of those chemicals.

How about a combination of FA Vienna Cream, FA Fresh Cream, FA Vanilla Classic, and FA Catlan Cream if you fancy.

Edit w/o a doubt FA Vienna Cream is where you start with FA for what you want.

I do one that is all tfa tho. It came close to the only vanilla custard I have tried. French vanilla @10%, caramel @5 and Bavarian cream @3.

Not really, sadly. I'm very fond of the FA custard, but as you know it is very different from the Caps Vanilla Custard. Apparently it's not possible to make a true vanilla custard without diketones, so I'm guessing this is why the FA has a slight taste of lemon. I do like them both for different reasons, but I think what you're looking for might be hard to find. There's another option with is the German Flavors sold by Vaperstek - Vanilla Pudding (which is supposed to be custard). Again, while a nice flavor it's still not a true vanilla custard to my mind.
