So im looking to buy my first box mod... I dont want to buy a "beginners" mod or something im going to want to upgrade. I know that sounds stupid because theres always something better coming out or in the works but, I would like to hear your guys opinions on the popular ones... Brings me to another question, should I wait for something thats in the near future that hasent been released yet? Ive been directed to the Sigelei 150 by my local vape dude... I want this mod to be able to work with some crazy low ohm builds also

I like how the hexohm and sig have a bigger button, not a big deal... Im not really buying a box mod for beauty, I can get that from mechanical mods... but performance and quality is what im looking for I guess

That is were I am standing also, full mech box or a sig 150 or the likes.

Both.
Each have their place.

Full mech? A Dovpo GX-200 can't be beat for price, and I like mine. Parallel batts, on board charging, and LED display. Button rattles, but I've had no problems.

I really like the Sigelei's and they should serve you well.

Been debating if I want to hassle with a naos 200 watt soldering job after being away from soldering for a few years.

I love my Sig 100. A few months as a daily vape with a Kay Fun and Lemo 10 to 20 watts. Then crank it up for drippers at home 30 to 50 watts. I really have never gone past 60. Not one problem. My 2 cents.

Well with a high powered box mod you don't need to go crazy sub ohm anymore, even though you're used to from your mech.
Just figure out much watts you're actually using based on your mech's voltage drop and your builds resistance, then get a box mod that is able to deliver that.

Mine actually fired 0.09 ohms today. :)

Yeah, the Sigelei 150w is a great, great mod. Silicone sleeve is nice if you're into that, i'm not. Buttons are nice, batteries fit snug, 510 pin is perfect, magnets on the door are strong, everything just feels nice and classy and finished.

Should I be worried about getting a sigelei 150 watt clone or a "lemon" if their is such a thing... I trust my local vape shop but is it possible to end up with a shitty sigelei?

I am unaware that any clones of Sigelei's exist.

Though it IS entirely possible when China is involved.

When buying from a local shop you can always inspect the product, see if the buttons are rattly or if the overall quality is in some way off-putting.

I love my 150w Sigelei, and i have been a sworn mech guy so thats not a statement i make lightly.

I went ahead and bought the 150 ... No sticky button or rattling, solid all around... I'll probably never use a mechanical mod again this thing is badass!
