Looking to get into vv/vw mods

Hey guys, I've been on an unregulated mech running a dual coil build at .15 ohms and I'm looking to get into cloud chasing.

I keep hearing that box mods are where I should go next so can anybody point me in the right direction? What I should be looking for in a box mod, what brands to avoid, ect.

I keep getting told the ipv3 or the snowwolf 200w.

Edit: I'm on a mutation x v4 and I'm ashamed of my crappy mod, smok tech extender (latest model) it was cheap and a quick fix for my modless self.

Edit2: I want it regulated and dual batteries for sure. I plan to use my mutation x on it or upgrade possibly. I'm not sure what to do on series or parallel though, haven't found any good explanations on the difference.

Snowwolf is popular, though my friend just had to mail his back because juice snuck in there somehow. It depends on what you're looking for. Regulated/unregulated? 18650/LiPo? Single/dual 18650? There's a few questions that may need answering before anyone can really offer you anything useful

With no info on what you are looking for I would buy the kangertech subox mini. It's a great starter and very in expensive.

I like both the 100w IPV4 and the 150w IPV3

I use my IPV d2 for driving. But use my IPV 3li for most of the day. Both use only in TC mode. Trying to get my subtank mini to perform like a dripper.

@scarecrowjenkins what is the difference between 18650 and LiPo? I have been using 18650.

I have quite a few box mods myself and had played around with several more that belongs to my friend. I'm curently looking to buy a Snow Wolf 200 watt version 1.5 made in USA in white with Asmodus logo in front, yes I'm very particular, lol. This is to use until the 2.0 version comes out in February next year. If you can wait, wait for the 2.0 version.
BTW, dont't buy Subox Mini set, I have it and love it but it definitely is not enough especially since it doesn't have a TC mode, at least get an IPV D2 or eVic VTC Mini.

I think LiPo is a built-in batt popular in some mods...A 18650 is a batt that is 18mm in diameter and 650mm tall..can be both flat and button top..by far the most common used in our mods..hope this helped

Yea built in is a no go for me. I love my 18650s to death.

Exact same snow wolf I'm looking at. Obviously not as particular.

Anybody got anything to compare to the snow wolf 200w 1.5? Or any complaints against it? Besides the one who had to mail his back.

If you are looking to buy now I just picked up a IPV 3Li VR and it's pretty sweet. Update it for 200 watt.

I thought the VR version comes pre-upgraded to 200 watt.. Am I reading your quote wrong? Do we have to upgrade ourselves? This is another box I'm looking to buy if my store couldn't find me a white 200 Snow Wolf ver.1.5 soon.

The best way to get your mini to perform like a dripper is to toss it and get a Crown. Best thing I did. Worlds apart.

I got the limited edition snow wolf 1.5. I wrote a review on it if you wanna check it out but I love it so far.

That works too. I was tired of messing with the mini. Decent tank but only up to about 20w. After I bought my Crown... Well I bought another one and haven't touched the mini since.

Uwell Crown subtank. I have heard nothing but solid reviews. I just ordered one. If you are into flavor, I hear it's one of the best. I have the Kanger and it works well but I am looking forward to comparing. They have OCC coils, an RBA (separate purchase), Ni coils for TC and it's a top fill.

Yep. Can fire some coils to 120w. I don't, but you can. I can run it down to the last drop without a dry hit. And that's not because TC. It is a awesome tank.

I can't find an RBA base (quick search). I think the billow V2 was a good pick up. If it performs like my modded orchids with KF4 tanks I'll be happy.
