Loose Goon Drip Tip

So I got a really pretty acrylic DT with my goon clone. All of my tips fit the cap perfectly except for the pretty one. :/

I can't find any good tips on how to fix this. I have a piece of gorilla tape on it, but I obviously can't take it off frequently because the tape will wad up. I thought about trying some clear nail polish, but I'm concerned about the heat and breathing that. I guess I should be concerned about the tape too come to think of it... Otoh I doubt there's enough heat there to create toxic fumes. Anyway, I've already looked at the local hardware stores for a different o-ring, no dice. Someone told me that floss was a good thing to use, but I don't see how.

Any suggestions? I don't want to lose it!

Floss goes in the Orings grove.... you then reinstall the orings over the floss. ...

Try a difference store for the orings maybe an auto parts store. Or industrial supply. Maybe even a Hobby store.

Not sure if that will work. Maybe I have them confused, aren't the goon dt's a smooth bore on the tip with the o-ring tucked inside the top cap? It would work on other drip tips like a 510 where the o-rings are on the tip and floss under the o-ring would be trapped. Trying floss on a goon would mean using a pick to dig the o-ring out of the top cap and trying to wad floss in there behind it then poking it back into place and hopefully the o-ring expands enough to trap the floss against the inner channel of the cap.

Yeah, I wasn't able to get floss in the groove in the top cap. What I did, and I'm not sure if it'll work out long term, is thread the floss through the o-ring and tied the ends, snip off the excess and then tuck the o-ring back into the groove. I'll take a pic in a minute because trying to explain it is difficult. The tip is secure, but I figure I'll have to re-do it again in the future. I'll keep my eyes open at the hardware and auto parts stores. :)

Hmm the juice has made the floss nearly invisible. I doubt you can make out what I mean in the pic. If anyone wants a better look I can mock up what I did and take a picture later. Just let me know. Pretty sure this is going to work after looking at it again. The floss isn't moving and is stuck to the ring with the juice. :)

Haha thanks. :)

On the odd chance someone finds this in the future I decided to do it over again.
