I got the red after much much internal debate, turmoil, and tryin to investigate lol. Couldnt find great pics of it anywhere other than the semi dark ones at 101vape. The brown seemed lighter and less "figured", so I hope the red looks as good as I think it might.
The yellow is legit

Nice! Still happy with the VT133 that's on the way from ecig for $70, but after user feedback starts coming out this is the one mod I'd add. 3 18650s and leather, my perfect mod!

Aye, its multi functional leather. You can tie the battery door to the end of a rope and slap your GFs ass with the leather bit. Get the kink involved with your vaping and vice versa. Least thats what Im gonna do lol

See, you figured out a way around the FDA Regs. It's not a tobacco product, it's an adult toy lmao :D:giggle::giggle:

Cheers,
Steve

lmao, the day that the FDA deeming happened where they dropped the rules and regs and what not, I told my buddy at work who vapes about it and the first thing outta his mouth was "Well I guess Im gonna be buying a lot of flavored anal lube" haha. I was confused as hell for a second til I realized he was talkin about e-juice.

The only thing about the Triade that makes me hesitant is the lip near the battery pins. Looks like a hassle getting the batteries in and out without shredding the wraps.

Got it today. Its one classy little slut. Broke out my tophat and monocle for proper classiness. lol

It does look good though. Havent used it too much or dove into the DNA board yet, so this is really just gonna be a quick lil thing about its build quality and what not.

First off, it comes in a really nice, sexy leather triangular box with a magnetic clasp thing. Really nice, though mine had a nice slice right down the side from some douche cutting too deep into the box with a razor...dick. The inside has a velvety covered form fit holder, which is made of super thin plastic and was cracked. Whatever. Comes with an instruction book and a neat USB cable.

The mod itself is really nice looking and has that great Reuleaux form factor. Its not an exact Reuleaux copy Its got a wider face, with sharper angles on the edge of the face and a little sharper angled battery door (the rounded part that fits in your palm) and has a little more rounded off and softer andle to the sides. For me personally I think the Reuleaux fits just a little bit better in the hand due to it having the more rounded face edges and the rounder battery door, but the Triad still fits better in the hand than any box style mod Ive ever had. The leather is a nice touch and gives a nice feel in the palm of your hand. Its got some nice and big vents on the side to help the board dissipate heat better, and the vents have some sort of screen on the inside to keep whatever might get in, out. The buttons are nice (squared) and have a nice positive click to them. Probably my favorite cosmetic feature to this mod other than the leather back, is the 510 connection/top piece. Where the Reuleaux has just a flat top, the Triad has a plate that raises the 510 up and off the top of the mod and tapers up at an angle. A 25mm atty (Boreas in my case) fits perfectly on the top plate with no overhang. Looks really cool that way, how the atty sits on there and at the base the angle breaks

So far the only things I noticed that I dont like, is that the very bottom plate seems to be bent a little as theres a slight gap between the plate and the battery door and if I press on it the gap goes away until I let go. Thats probably just an issue on my particular mod, but who knows. I might just get in touch with the vendor and see about getting a replacement, but really its not that big of a deal and I might just decide to live with it. Well see. Also , the battery door is kind of a bitch to get off as they added these little clips/slots to the door and the battery compartment that kind of locks the door into place. So you really gotta pull on the bottom of the door to get it to unlock and pop off.

All in all, it looks really nice, feels really nice, and in wattage mode anyways, works really well. At $112 it was a pretty cheap DNA200 mod, and compared to some of the other cheap DNA200 mods, it looks amazing. Im pretty happy other than the lightly bent bottom, which I may get a replacement.

I'll second Ecig's fast shipping. They ship out of Oklahoma and I'm in Michigan. Everything I've ordered has made it to me in 4-5 days at the latest. Great place to do business with imho.

Cheers,
Steve
Ditto, FAST shipping....two days to AZ, good company.

Wondering what the quality of the leather is and what your initial impression is as far as how well it will hold up. Those of us that own the duo know about the quality of the paper um I mean 'wood' panels. Good choice on the red btw.

I don't have one but from what I've read the leather comes needing to be conditioned. What I mean by that is it is dry and will scratch easily as it comes. It needs a drink and then it's fine.

The leather seems decent. Doesnt really seem to be too dry like the guy in the video said his was, but his looked like the brown leather and I have the red, but mine doesnt feel dry, but its definitely not soft. Its a pretty stiff, rugged leather so maybe Ill try treating it and see if it just softens up a lil bit, but like with anything, if you take care of it right itll last a long time.

Just keep in mind too though, this isnt some hand crafted individually made in the USA by skilled workers mod, as nice as it is and as nice as it looks, its still a mass produced mod made in China, so not everythings gonna be perfect 100%, but for $112 for a really nice looking DNA200 mod, Im happy with it.

Anyone heard anything on the lost vape therion? Got my eye on this one but still no word on the price . Triad is a beauty but still a little pricey at this time , though I may have to get one anyways .

Ir's going to be a dual 18650 mod (wired in parallel) that uses a DNA75 chip. Personally if I was going with a dual 18650 mod, I'd go with a DNA200 (133 watts) because:
1. The DNA200 board is more efficient than the DNA75 (97% vs 85% as per Evolv's specs)
2. I can always turn down the VT133 but I'm capped at 75 for the VT75
3. If I was to get it a DNA75 it would be to have a small mod (single 18650)

I do agree to most of those points , but for myself I rarely go over 75w I like the looks of the mod and. Near as I can tell the size of it. If it has the same 510 as the triad I will probably go triad . I am just looking for a dead sexy mod and those both fit the bill, even though I am eyeballing the lavabox 75 also .........ahh decisions decisions

That's funny that you mention the Lavabox 75. If I do end up going with a DNA75, that's the one I'm leaning towards. If it comes out in Blood Red, I'll have a hard time resisting. It would go nicely with it's bigger brother.

So after a couple days with the Triad, I can say I really love it. Its sleek, sexy as all hell, powerful, brag worthy, beautiful, and a cow died so I could have it. This mod is so amazing that a living thing literally needs to die so it can be made. Praise be to the cow! lol

Really though, Its a really nice mod. But theres something I didnt realize that is a big (the biggest maybe) con, and that is the battery compartment. Its TIGHT in there, getting the batteries in is difficult, but getting them out is just down downright frustrating. There is definitely a trick to getting them in and out.

To get them in you need to position them off to the side of the slot, put the negative in first and push down on the little button/spring loaded thing and try to slide it in totally parallel at the same time. Pretty difficult, but to get them out you gotta do it in reverse. Easy enough for the first one, but the 2 in the back have no room to get a finger round it, so you have to pull the battery lift ribbon all the way down to the base, and gently pull on it and wiggle the battery out.

This thing definitely has the potential to CHEW UP your battery wraps very easily if you dont take caution and care when putting in/removing the batteries. So be careful with that.

Dammit. Another one I really want. I need to stop visiting this forum. I just can't afford it.

Before investing in a DNA75 that takes a 26650 I decided to take a little road test with a nice cheap Presa 100 with a Brilliant 4500 mah battery. I'm loving the battery life and size on this thing. I found a single 18650 mod just didn't have the longevity I needed and 2 battery mods were a little bit of a hassle to take to work with me. For me a 26650 mod seems like a great compromise for a travel mod.

I really don't understand the logic in releasing a dual 18650 DNA75. Why not just put a DNA200 chip in it, that way you get 133 watts and a more efficient chip. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Steve

I'm overall very gentle with my vape gear, but the battery wrap shredding scares me enough to not want to buy this mod.

Edit: typo

Here's my theory, the DNA 75 board needs more power to prevent the constant weak battery messages. So they built a dual 18650 parallel mod to help reduce battery sag.

Lost Vape is a company in China that now uses Evolv chips. I have a beautiful Lost Vape Wood Mod (Tan V2) that uses a Yihi chip. No two look exactly alike.

IMG_20150719_155909_1.jpg
This is a picture of the first one I had (on the right) that was returned because of a bad 510 connector. The replacement is still new in it's wooden box. It looks even better. Just doesn't do TC so I'm either going to change chips or eventually sell it. Just too nice looking to do that now.

Steve
