I also just bought a jellyfish had it for 24 hours said atomizer not connected so I shut it off took atomizer off put it back on now it won't turn on, no power even when plugged in

I purchased a Lotus Jellyfish in January 2015. In March 2015 the box mod just stopped working. Won't charge. Won't power up. Just dead. Nothing. I was not doing anything unusual, always use this with basic dual coil builds above .2 ohms. The device just went dead.
I returned it to my local vape shop and they offered me a refund or exchange for other products. Which I accepted an exchange for another box mod. However a month later I asked them at the shop whatever happened with the Jellyfish. Still sitting there at the shop. The distributor will NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. They said they had way too many returns and would not take any more of this product back as they were losing too much money. So I told them to give me the Jellyfish back, and I paid for the exchange item I had received. I don't want my local shop hurt financially for the manufacturers defect. I took the problem back on my own shoulders and now appeal. Lotus, will you please contact me to 1) replace my broken Jellyfish for a working product 2) replace my product with another product of equivalent value or 3) refund my $150 retail cost that I paid to purchase this product. Thank you.

It should be noted that my local vape shop was willing to take the loss just to satisfy me as a customer. Honorable. Integrity of highest respect. However this is not their problem. This is for the manufacturer to honor. I purchased a product that was brand new on the market. There were not even reviews for the product when I purchased it. AND one selling feature was that the product does have a warranty. Lotus do the honorable thing. If you expect to sell more product to the vaping community you must also take returns for your faulty merchandise and fix the problems in your design.

I should mention, I love this device, it is excellent and I enjoy using it. Up until the moment it stopped working.

I own VaporSalon in Fort Worth, TX and have been purchasing Lotus' Jellyfish box mod since November of 2014 when they were first released. At first, these mods were replaced within a week or two upon receiving the RMA request. They were even shipping the replacement before receiving the broken unit back. Times have changed this year. I had 4 RMA's since January and have only received TWO back so far. This means my store is out $300 while we are waiting and waiting. We've contacted their regional sales director and several other persons at their location with no response 75% of the time.

Should you be looking to get your Jellyfish replaced, contact Oscar. It may take several months, however I will not purchase another Lotus product until they rectify the situation. My customers are getting angry and have literally vowed to never purchase from these people ever again. The mod is great, but you're almost guaranteed to have to replace it because they have a lot of shorting out issues and issues reading the correct resistance on your coil which can cause problems with the amount of vapor produced.

His email is [email protected] and please, once you get your Jellyfish sent, email him as much as you can so he will know how ridiculous waiting 3+ months for a replacement is.

Good info and thanks for the heads up...It's sad to see a company change like that...if they know they have issues you'd think they'd fix it in the next run or modify a version two or something...any more on an update like that in there 25 percent they actually respond?

Still no further replies. They have got to be the worst place as far as customer service.

I do have an update however; due to the enormous delays in receiving these units back we no longer take in warranties. We do offer the customer the option to send it in themselves and give them their contact information so they are not left in the dark. I am hoping that Lotus will send one back to a end-user faster than they send them to vape shops.

We had one come in two days ago that was having the issue that happens to most Jellyfish; the coil resistance ranges from 0.3 ohms up to 3 ohms while running an Atlantis 0.3 ohm coil. With a brand new Jellyfish that doesn't have issues, these coils read 0.27 ohms on the unit. The Jellyfish that was brought in had been opened up by the customer so we decided to open it up and have a look. This is the second one that we have opened up with the exact same issue.

There is a screw that holds the atomizer base onto the circuit board that has a metal contact on the circuit board. This is the negative terminal for vaping. With both units we have repaired with the resistance jumping issue, this screw had come loose causing the resistance to read improperly. We are able to repair these units that have the resistance jumping around at our store however this will void any manufacturer warranty since we are not authorized to repair the units. I am in the process of asking Oscar to get permission to repair them to help speed up the warranty process.

I hope this information helps!

If you want us to look at your Jellyfish, feel free to bring it into our store VaporSalon in Fort Worth Texas on Western Center Blvd & North Beach St in the Albertsons Shopping Center.
