After a five-year run that spanned from Fox to Netflix, Lucifer is now preparing to come to an end. During the series' panel at Comic-Con at Home 2021, Netflix debuted a trailer for the Lucifer's sixth and final season, announcing that the show's last episodes will debut on the streamer on September 10.
The new trailer shows Lucifer reencountering a traffic cop that pulled him over in the show's pilot episode and features plenty of glimpses of the Devil wielding the powers of God.
Moderated by actor Luke Cook, who played Lucifer in another Netflix series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the panel included series star Tom Ellis and executive producers Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich. After the panel debuted footage of the final season, Henderson explained how the new trailer differs from trailers for Lucifer's previous seasons.
"We spoil a lot in our trailers and we like to do that because we like everyone talking. But this is the final season," Ellis said. "We're trying to keep our hands really close to the vest. This is the last year that we have secrets [and] can surprise people."

The panel also teased the return of a favorite guest star from the series' past, as well as the introduction of a character that has only been talked about. Additionally, the panel touched on some favorite moments from Season 5 and confirmed that Lucifer will work within the Los Angeles Police Department in Season 6.
"So much of the story of Season 5 was maturing and growing up," Henderson said. "There is so much to explore when you get to the moment where you think you’re done. You think you’ve become the person you’re trying to become. That became really interesting to explore.”

In our review of Lucifer Season 5, Part 2, IGN gave the episodes a 9, calling the episodes "fun, sentimental, and endearing, with some great character moments and Easter eggs that harken back to previous arcs."
