Magma modifications to prevent leakage .

I saw this and thought it was worth posting here , as you can see from the first pic (standard Magma deck) to the second , (modified) , the flat surface of the Magma is essentially gone which supposedly cures all leaking issues.

I have seen several threads regarding issues with the Magma RDA, and this is my take on the subject. I addressed the issue with minor leaking out of the air holes and the weeping behind the air control ring.

If your Magma is missing the o-ring behind the air control ring, add one from your Kayfun spare parts. This ends the juice getting behind the ring.

I modded my Magma clone's deck with a vertical mill / small rotary table & dremel in my home machine shop. This ends the leaking through the air holes from condensation.

The below pic is from someone else who used a 'Dremel ' to remove the excess steel and to polish it up. The arrows are where the o ring goes.

ok, does the o-ring go behind the air control, above it or below it. I have not found an o-ring that would goes behind it yet. Using kayfun spare o-rings as well... I have ended up taking it off and using it fully open. Just tried again, still will not fit behind the ACR. yes this is a clone.

That is how I have been running mine. But each time someone posts about a fix, I try it. Ya never know what might work. It does look funny but works and that is all I care about. No juice behind a ACR and I am happy.... But still trying any fixes...

Yeah, I've got a dremel but no machining tools so that's out of the question for me.

Yeah your right , it fits below the threads with the ring off , sorry for the confusion.

That will just keep the ring from spinning, good thing to do but that's not where the leak comes from.
Magma leak comes from the coil spitting juice on the deck and some of it going down the hole.

I dremel'd the top deck to let the juice flow back to the well and not down the hole. Works well.

That will just keep the ring from spinning, good thing to do but that's not where the leak comes from.
Magma leak comes from the coil spitting juice on the deck and some of it going down the hole.

I dremel'd the top deck to let the juice flow back to the well and not down the hole. Works well.

I never tried it , just going on what others claim , some say the o ring definitely does correct some issues so it's worth a try . I believe the air flow ring is NOT used with the o ring , .

I never go low enough to cause spitting on my RDA's so i wouldn't know about that.

I have found that excessively wicked RDA's leak. I only use enough wick to to touch the bottom of the well...nothing more.

Not me man , well it really depends on the RDA actually . With the Magma , you can pack the "well" and it won't leak but you still can't overfill it . You have to keep an eye on how much liquid is in the well , overfilling still happens even if you do pack a lot of wicking material , the key is to know the perfect level and stick to it .

Saturate the wick but when you tip the RDA on it's side there shouldn't be liquid pouring out the side , then you put too much juice in there.
