Well guys I've been quit distant from the forums and vaping in general lately. I have had an odd feeling in my chest for a few months.. Like a fluttering which sometimes can make me dizzy. Well I visited the doctor and they ran an EKG to mine and the doc's surprise, the right bundle branches that send electric impulses to the heart telling it to beat are blocked.. Meaning my heart is not beating correctly and it's been feeling very weak lately.

While she didn't say anything about my vaping I have read that use of cigarettes and other tobacco products with an irregular heart beat can cause more problems.

I guess I just wanted to ask everyone's opinion.. Should I stop completely? Or do you guys think 0.5 nic, 1mg or maybe just switch to 0 nic? Do you think vaping and smoking of any sort can have negative effects? Or just the nicotine? Thanks guys.

My Father-in-law just passed with Congestive Heart Failure at 66. He never drank, did drugs, or smoked. Will quitting vaping change your health ? That is only up to your body. That is a question for only you to decide. Good luck and hope you get well.

Sorry for your loss, Jimi.

And thank you for your responses. I know my smoking is not the underlying cause of it, but exactly what's going on is unsure even to the doctor, as I am only 22 years old. The cardiologist hasn't called me for an appointment and it's been almost a week since my visit.

Honestly, I'm just very sad at the thought of needing to leave all of this behind.

Thank you Sir.

22 is my son's age. If my son was in the same situation. I would ask him to stop vaping. Even though he did vape for about a year. He moved to Sweden and now is nic and vaping free. Don't be sad. Just take care of the problem, and perhaps you can vape again one day :)

Thank you so much guys. Quitting is hard, but for my health I'll have to. And if I have to give it up completely I guess the bright side is that I can probably cash out on all the things I've collected over the years haha.

Hugs and prayers, they can do a lot now with heart procedures, hope everything goes well, I would also give the office a call back asking about the apt.

I had a chronic case of premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). This was before I vaped. I smoked cigars and drank 3 cups a coffee and 3 cans of coke a day.

I gave up caffeine altogether and now vape (3mg). The caffeine seemed to be the problem. Once I gave that up, it really helped. Apparently caffeine exacerbates any sort of irregular heartbeats you can have.

Haven't had any symptoms in years. With that said, you need to do what is right for you. Nicotine is an issue when it comes to your heart.

If you smoked prior tobacco constricts the hell out of the vessels, while nic does to an extent it is the tar and other things that harden the arteries not the nic by it self.
Lower the nic, get more air flow or cut the nic down lower than what you think.

Any other lifestyle changes or new habits?
How is your blood work?

Ah yes, coffee. I love the stuff, but haven't had any in a few days now. I haven't been able to get to the store to buy any juice latelt, but I'm down to maybe about 10-12 puffs on my vape a day.

They told me my blood pressure was fine when I went in. I know even being 4 years without cigarettes I might still have some tar build up from all the years of cigarettes. No other lifestyle changes though other than cutting ties in relationships that have really been adding stress. I work outside about 10 hours a day I thought my ticker would be quite healthy.

My family always told me I shouldn't be so short tempered, on edge and angry so easily. That it would be bad for me in the long run /:

A couple things I would suggest for over all health reassurances, get you thyroid levels checked, if they go wonky all worst of fun shit happens.
Liver function also.
Potassium levels.
Vitamin D levels. If you are taking a supplement with vitamin d and you work outside you have way to much.
Finally if you take Tylenol or acetaminophen due to aches and pains. stop taking it one of the little known side effects that is not widely known even in Dr. circles is that it can cause heart issues. I had to dig deep to find it when I took some Tylenol for a head ache and felt worse and like my heart was fluttering.

You guys have been the biggest support I've had so far, thank you so much.

BigNasty, you know your stuff, bud are you in the medical field? Gonna write these things down thank you again. I try not to take any kind of pills whether pain pills or supplemental pills. I even do my best to cut out all HFCS and artificial flavors/sweeteners in my diet. Thyroid problems do run in my family, I'll see if I can have my levels checked when I go back on the 8th. I'll keep y'all posted in Whiskey's corner :)

Prayers friend.
I know all about anger issues. I get angry at some of the stupidest stuff and over nothing. I have no idea why I have the anger issues I do. Its just like , SNAP, and anger bitchfestia takes over. I'm probably Bipolar or something. I know I try so very hard and can't change it. I immediately feel horrible afterwards. Fiance thinks I'm nuts lol but I'm very lucky he loves me despite my issues. i know I worry constantly about how the anger and stress affects my heart.

Anyways prayer are being sent from someone who knows alittle of what you are going thru. :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one It's a big reason why I don't have certain people in my life any longer, but I know it's something I need to fix myself before I can be in anything like that and for my overall health. You're lucky to have someone that understands and loves you anyway. I think mine is a bit past the point of understanding.

But regardless, thanks for the good vibes and prayers everyone. You're all the most amazing support group. Hoping for a good outcome on everything.

Not something I would ever have put in a sentence with your name.

I used to be a pretty angry person and still get angry, but I try and step back and not let it consume me. Chances are, when I get upset, I'm not getting something I think I deserve, something isn't going the way I think it should go, people aren't behaving the way I think they're supposed to. Me, me, me is the only person I think of in those moments. Sure, we have reasons to get angry sometimes, if I don't take a step back and look at the situation, claim my own part it in, it turns out really ugly. Sometimes I don't have a part in it, but it's not in my control. Acceptance can be a real PITA sometimes. And we have a couple places here to vent. I get really ugly in those, LMAO.

:soapbox: I'll walk away now, lol.

prayers for you bro..
my dad was a world class athlete; award winning body builder and triathlon competitor. He is still, at 61 years old, riding his bicycle 30-40 miles 3 times a week. The man never smoked, did drugs or drank; and, he had a Right Bundle Branch block. They did a laser surgery ten years ago and corrected the problem.. Granted, it took months of testing to figure the exact problem and treatment, but never did nail down a specific cause.

just listen to the doctors, and medical professionals and know that you are being prayed for.
