Manhattan mod questions

So, I just purchased the manhattan competition mod yesterday, the guy said the tube shouldn't get too hot but its getting pretty hot. I have the derringer rda on it so I was curious if that could be the reason its getting hot since its such a small rda.

If it gets hot the second you fire it then you have an issue, if it's slowly heating up from the top down then it's just heat transference from the atty.

What kind of battery are you using? And do you have an ohm reader?

Ask the guy who sold it to you. But offhand, I would guess it would be about the type of battery you're using or the ohms build on your RDA.
And, I'm guessing you bought a clone mod, since the authentic is close to $300.
Another thought is that you're pressing the switch too long.

The Manhattan should not be getting hot like that especially the tube. I have an authentic Manhattan and have never experienced this and Im using builds down to a .06 for cloud chasing and around .1-.12 for daily. Usually Im running a a time keeper mod or shock and awe on the vapors thundercloud plus using arsenal wick and wire, with a .21 parallel 4 wrap spread. The battery Im using is either a sub ohm cell or mxjo. It works fine for me.
