Mech mod getting hot

gotta cheap little tube mod. Came with up grade button for nosiey cricket. I use it more then NC, small size is more convenient.....playing around with different builds I do like a warmer vape, so I stuck a .23 coil in there, and loved it. Have a tendency to chain vape, ecspecially on break at work. Thing gets HOT. I end up take the battery out to let it cool.
I have read some on ohms law, not as much as I should obviously. Where can I read about how much a battery can take? I'm using a brown LG2 20 amp. really enjoy building coils and tinkering. Great hobby, just need to get more info.

You're already at the lower limit for your LG HG2 battery, don't go any lower.

You could place a heat sink between the RDA and mod that might prevent some of the heat from traveling to your mod.
The real question here is are you sure the mod is hot because of the atty or is the mod being heated by the battery?
Is the battery itself getting really hot??

.....just the atty. actually I'm using a rta on it. Ijoy nano. When taking the tank off I noticed the battery warm but not hot.The button connecting atty to battery was singing.

If you don't want the heat, use a different RTA as the Tornado nano isn't geared for a tube (which gets screaming hot even on a reg mod as it is)

For tubes, I use RDAs.

With using the 510 cap that comes with the kit, you can use any RTA. Personally, the Limitless Plus is a good one on tubes.

I just got my dotmod in mail. I but my boreas on top. I LOVE it!!!! The atty isn't getting hot, nope. I feel more comfortable knowing I can build down to 2.5 on battery I have. So..........the larger the amps.........the lower I can build in resistance? thank you for the help

This dotmod has hybrid cap. I'm Not using the special 510 on here. I've noticed others using RTA'S on mechs. Isn't it ok as long as I'm sure that the positive connection is long enough not to short?
