Today we’re very proud to introduce you to the new IGN homepage for desktop web users (the new mobile homepage will be rolled out soon). We have been testing this version of our site with some of our fans since December and have gathered feedback and made tweaks throughout the process. We started this process by asking several of you how you use the IGN homepage and what is important to you. We used your feedback to make several improvements that we believe will help you stay up to date on the games, movies, and TV shows you care about most. Since quite a few things changed, we want to show you some of the upgrades that we hope you’ll enjoy.
We heard you loud and clear: you like the chronological newsfeed at the center of our site. So instead of changing it too much, we made it easier to find the stories and videos you like. No need to click a “next button” anymore – fast-loading, endless scrolling means you’ll never run out of stories to watch and read. Even better, click on any of the topic buttons next to the newsfeed and your stories will be instantly filtered to the things you care about without reloading the page, whether it’s games, movies, TV shows, comics, or specific gaming platforms. Plus, we’ll always show you whether something is an article or a video or both.
