Merging an ohm reader with a mod screams bad idea to me

well tthe coil master 521 tab is both a meter and device just saying but that looks ugly by comparison

that would actually be a good piece just to build on and pulse coils at low watts

The whole ohm meter section on the side while the real 510 being on the top is throwing me, I just don't see the point. There is nothing here that makes me think this would have any sort of lifespan or any sort of market for this design

Yes, and think this is probably the reason for it.

But it's actually the same exact thing that's in every variable-wattage device -- they all read the ohms of your atty, and give you various protections because of it. So this thing, instead of a mod that reads ohms, it's an ohm meter that can fire a coil, exactly as martnargh said, so you can do all the creation/maintenance tasks at once. Brilliant.

Exactly, and no "add to cart" button. :D Lucky thing, though; it's too close to payday to have anything like whatever it costs as disposable income. :D

Am curious, can you fire 2 attys at once?
You are getting closer now. Holes for banana plugs are outlet, so two people can vape at the same time and simultaneously stimulate different body parts with electro shocks. You can clamp those gators onto just about anything. O yea...make sure to have a good batteries from reputable source:)

....or jack up the wattage, and if gators are on longer cords you can even blast your balls off!!
Shit, with 200 watt you can blast just about anything.
This mod is going to be a hit.

I will buy this, put efest batteries in & clamp it to my taint. What's the worst that could happen?

Big enough alligator clips and you hook to a 12v battery. Either for fast charging of the mod or a jump start for the vehicle.

I guess it makes a bit of sense, if using it to build on. Even though most people can build on their standard 510 it might be a bit of a pia since it means standing it up and risking knocking it over. The 510 ohm reader on the side means the mod can lay flat without risk of tipping it, bumping it etc and having it crash land.

Who knows, turning everything into a swiss army tool is always the rage. Oh look, it's a corkscrew, a flashlight and a cat litter scoop! For those times you want to sneak in during the night to clean the cat crap out of the box then pop some wine to celebrate. :p

I build with the base of whatever atty held firmly in my vise; it's the only way I can, without having to chase the lil fucker all over the countertop -- the vise weighs enough that no matter how tightly I pull the wires around the screws, it's not going ANYWHERE. It doesn't get put on either an ohm meter OR a mod until the coil is mounted.

Can't imagine trying to mount a coil with the base already on the mod. No way in hell to keep it still and/or upright.

i still think it looks like a bad ass piece to have, depending on the price. not to vape, but as like a 521 replacement, something smaller that does the same shit and some extra.

I'm all for this. I want one. Looks like a pretty fancy little multipurpose build deck. Call me crazy, but I like the look. Not as a mod, but as an instrument.

If this thing turns out to be any good and the build quality is reasonable, I think it could become pretty popular. I wonder how much they'll ask for it,. I personally would pay about as much as I would for a full-featured reggie box, but definitely not more. I've seen 3d-printed active meters that go for that or more, and they're not nearly as versatile, robust, or nice-looking, for that matter. They're just big, ugly, cheaply 3d-printed boxes that run on two 18560's and do two things.... ...and you'll pay $50+ for that. Not for me. I have a regulated box and a tiny, accurate meter.

Everything I build on has post holes or clamps so you just put the leads in and tighten, I've never built on anything that needs to be pulled tight around a screw but I know a lot of that MTL stuff is setup that way.

Yeah, the Achilles deck is almost identical to a Kayfun's, just a smidge bigger, so you have a little more room to work -- definitely easier to get the wires around the screws. I really prefer that method, FAR prefer it; for uncoordinated people, getting two wires thru two holes at the same time is nearly impossible.

My magmas have that sort of deck, where you have to put 2 wires thru 2 holes at once, and I find it very difficult; next time I use one of those, I may see if I can just do it my usual way, and wrap the wires around the screws. Only problem is that those screws are "straight" rather than phillips, a huge pain in its own right.

Try a G24 Seminole or Double Vision ;) They are the same 2 hole design but they are IMO one of the best RDA's on the market

I think that's why I like my bachelor tank. It's easy to put coils in, no bending, no sticking through screw holes. Just back off the hex screws and drop the leads straight down into the postless deck then tighten it up.

It may be a pia for some people unless it came with a torx bit since it's less common than a phillips or flathead driver. For posts that snug down via screws on top I'd like to see them fitted for torx though. Much less chance of slipping/stripping the head out. Reminds me of using screws on decking around the house, I used to always cheap out and get the phillips head screws. Last time around I splurged for the torx driven deck screws, holy what a difference. Night and day, no slipping or rounding of the heads. A bit excessive in comparison to a build deck post screw for sure but the same principle applies.

I'll definitely pass, on either. Both look like huffing RDAs, rather than vaping, and both have that annoying-as-all-hell o-ring closure. The Achilles has a draw as tight as a carto, so it can be vaped, no huffing, and the entire design is threaded, with o-ring backup to prevent leakage. Truly the best design EVER for those who want both tight draw and full flavor, ease of opening/closing, and no leaks.

Both of those also look like sticking 2 wires thru 2 holes is the only way to use them, and that's damn near impossible for me to do -- wrapping wires around screws is a piece of cake compared to that!

If i could figure out how to order from Yeahsmo directly, I'd gladly buy 10 Achilles! But I have no earthly idea how an individual consumer buys from a manufacturer in china, like yeahsmo or alibaba.

If it's anything like alibaba, there are min quantities like in the hundreds or thousands. You might find you'd have to buy at least 300 of them since they cater to retailers looking to buy wholesale in bulk. At least from what I've seen on alibaba. There's no buying 1-5, 10 or anything that low. You'll find something cheap like a flag and think ok, cheap enough I'll buy a handful. Then you see min order qty is something ridiculous like 2500 pieces intended for retail chains.

Nah the min quantity is 10, that's why I said I'd gladly buy 10. but it's some weird convoluted process, not like just buying something online.

Well that's cool at least, most min qty's are nuts. I'm not sure on that, it is a bit odd. Always dealing with a 'mr somebody', I don't know if there's some sort of deal where you have to sign up to become a member, show proof of a resale license or anything else. Some places have requirements like that when buying wholesale.

Why do you have to put two wires thru two holes at the same time?

Cut one lead of the coils shorter than the other. Put long lead in hole first, then put shorter lead in other hole.

I dunno. I do em one hole at a time.

It's definitely easier to feed a wire into a hole then wrap it tight and keep tension on it while tightening it.

I push the wires through and bend them to hold them there then screw it down...

Actually this was how I managed it, last time I had to recoil my Magmas; cutting one lead shorter did help, but i still prefer wrapping wire around screws.

the subzero has a 2 post design also... its not as hard as it looks and dead center coils are instantaneous.
similar to how time said it, ill usually cut one lead real short, like just enough to feed it into the hole so it wont come out the other end and the other will be long. the other side ill do the same but working the long lead into the opposite post and ill bend them both outwards. screw in, snip the leads and thats all she wrote.
ill also stick them in as close as possible to the posts, touching the posts and everything cause i like to pull the coils a little so theyre tight tight tight.

Personally as odd as that looks dual 18650's could've made an interesting tab. Just seems like it has more places for e-liquid to get trapped that most VV/VW box mods capable of these things. Kinda wondering how many people even use the alligator clips on their coil/ohm meters?

I like the concept, recommended a dust cover to the developers for it though, I have the 521 Tab, love the ability to fire when it's on there...

What I like is you can take off the back cover flip it over and you have a large non slip mat which is one of my pet peeves about the 521 tab..
