Warner Bros. first announced Middle-earth: Shadow of War in February 2017. This open-world sequel, set in the land of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, is scheduled to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 10, 2017.
The game’s predecessor, 2014’s Shadow of Mordor, was highly praised, particularly for its innovative Nemesis system. Shadow of War promises to expand that system significantly, and to introduce a splash of color that was largely missing in the previous installment's game world.
During Microsoft's E3 2017 presentation, we got a lengthy glimpse at Middle-earth: Shadow of War, featuring a surprisingly charismatic orc.
