Mod Won't Stop Spitting!!

Hey guys I need some help here. I've been vaping just over a year, and I really enjoy it, but I'm not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be. I just got a VooPoo Drag for Christmas. Lately, as soon as I fill the tank more than half full, it spits like crazy. Pops and crackles, juice in my mouth, burning my lip, the whole works. Like, all day today, it was fine, and then the last hour it's been doing this. I've tried changing the coil, cleaning it with a qtip, taking the coil out and cleaning the air vents under the coil. I've tried vaping at a higher wattage, nothing works. (I usually vape at about 75.) If I blow the excess juice out the vent holes, I have to blow a half a tank of juice out before it stops. It's like it runs straight through the coil and out the bottom. Everything is screwed together properly, no cross threading, snug but not overly tightened. I'm using VooPoo coils. I'm getting really frustrated because I feel like I always end up with juice all over myself, when this happens, and I'm wasting SO much juice! WHAT am I doing wrong?????

What atomizer is it? T1 or T2? And what coil?

What VG level is the juice? I assume it's at least something like 70/30 VG/PG, or higher (vg)...not sure if its 50/50 it might be too thin.

You know ive dealt with spitters way more than I'd like to admit. Ive been in the "ive tried everything" boat...and sometimes you may just need to cut your losses and get another tank/RDA/etc.

Also, check all o-rings are on and not damaged. Check everything is screwed in well (not overly so). Maybe others can help as well. But at the end of the day, if you've really tried everything, maybe get another tank and cut your losses. Could be just a lemon or you're doing some tiny thing wrong and you'll never figure it out.

What kind of tank is on your device?

My atomiser is a T2 . Not sure what this particular juice is, but I try to always get 70/30 or higher. I was given that advice from a friend who works at a vape shop, when I switched from my baby beast to a bigger coil/tank. It's working okay again right now, I've got it on 80 watts. We'll see I guess .

It's got that "fish bowl" tank on it, but it also cane with the regular cylindical glass, too. B
Not sure what, exactly, they're called, sorry .

Without knowing any info about the tank It sounds like you may have to do something differently when refilling.

There are things like: closing the airflow when refilling or after filling turning the tank upside down then right side up quickly to create a vacuum.

Did it again as soon as I went down to 76 watts. Maybe higher wattage is the answer. I don't like it as much, but I guess I could get used to it.

The fish bowls are called bubble glass, the other is just 'straight glass'.

If that coil requires more power than you like, you can always change to a diff coil. they make about 10-12.

Sounds to me too, that it's not creating a vacuum. A vacuum is what keeps the juice from free flowing through the wick and into the coil when not being vaped. When you hit it it pulls juice into the coil and gets vaporized. Too much juice to the coil from no vacuum will make it pop and crackle like you say.

Some leaking might be something not sealed all the way. Looks like there's 4 seals total and they are o-rings. 2 seals on the coil,1 at the top of the glass and 1 at the bottom of the glass. Next time your going to fill, to eliminate a seal issue,
Take the tank apart and the glass off and the coil out.
Being careful not to lose any o-rings, rinse everything but the coil, including moving the slide fill back and forth under a stream of water just to make sure there's nothing there.
Dry it and check the o-rings on the coil, closely, for any imperfications,,as well as the other 2. Check where the coil's seals will be touching.
More than snug - screw the coil in hand tight. And assemble the rest, being sure when you tighten the top and bottom (deck) against the glass that the seals stay in position.
