Heyg guys!
I made a box mod a number of months ago thanks to the help here, and now I'm finding when I build lower than .02 ohms my batteries stay cool (using good batteries..) But my mosfet gets very warm with continued use... Is there any reason for this?

I don't typically build tthis low.. Just switching things up

Thanks all

Matt

Sure it's not .2 Ohms? Your mostfet will get very warm because it is switching large amounts of current (amps) off and on with continued use. It's normal.

Well the fet shouldn't be getting hot at .2 and if it's a 3034 fet it wont fire at .02

Just sayin!

Only time i had a fet go hot was when my 12.6v box melted a coil and briefly shorted itself. Fried the fet completely, the aluminium coated fin was all shiny and bubbly.

Yeah I'm just under .2

I was on my phone definitely not at .02, lol.

It's a 20 gauge dual coil build and the fet does get very warm if I "chain vape" for a few minutes.
