Here is a photo of my DNA200 mods. I just got the Reuleaux yesterday and all I got to say is WOW. Although it is heavy with the 3 18650's, the watt hours are over twice the VT200 and close to twice the SDNA 200. Mounted the Delta II in it with the black Copa drip tip and it's really nice. I love they it just fits my hand perfect and is so comfortable. Early Christmas for me !!!!!

I'm a MacBook man myself.
I borrow my daughter's Windows machine
to use Escribe.
Come on Evolv, release a Mac version.

I too, with the many mods I own, can not seem to put down either of my Reuleaux's.
And that includes my previous favorite, the SX Mini M class!

Nice looking group of mods you have there :)

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I really like the look of your Blue VT200. It seemed like in some of the early pictures it was a different shade in every one I saw

(From Left to Right) Hotcig DX200 , Hcigar VT200, and Volcano Lavabox

For a size comparison I added an IPV3 Li (Dual 18650)
IMG_20151219_115113_zpspusddddm.jpg

As a side note, the DX200 recently fell/flew out of my coat pocket as I was exiting my car and landed on the cement driveway. The battery and mod separated (it's supposed to be able to come apart into 2 pieces), broke the glass tank on the Bellus (I had it on that mod at the time, luckily it came with a spare tank). The only damage to the mod was a few chips to the rubberized paint as you might be able to see in the pictures.

Cheers,
Steve

Hard to pick up anything else once you have the DNA
Its definitely the most capable and technologically advanced thing out there for vaping, no argument there. It's also nice to have one mod that will vape any way I want it to no matter what it is.
But I still like my mechanicals and hexohm sometimes :)

I am about to pick up a DNA mod... I am looking at the SMY SDNA200 or the Volcan Lavabox... with all the knowledge that I am seeing here with multiple mods... which should I shoot for? Then I can add a pic of my new one to the thread!

If I were between those two, I would go with the volcano.
The battery in the smy is soldered to the board so there are no clips if it has to be changed. Its also the same battery that was in the vapecige; which had problems when it was first released. The smy is also warrantied for a year; but, to my knowledge they don't have a USA rep, so in the event of a problem you're dealing with the company in china.
Volcano is a USA company with USA representation in the SPAM capital of the world (Hawaii). It also has a much nicer finish and if you get bore you can swap out the grippy things. The battery is user serviceable.
---take the above for what its worth from someone who has not owned either; just thoughts.

You had at battery that I can service! Thank you for that. I wasnth I thinking of getting the wismec but don't need that much battery. I'm work with computers and carry chargers and battery packs and don't get to vape to much but on my hour drives to and from work and at night. My xcube II with Sammy 25r last 2 days or more and my vct5's last a full 3... unless I'm rocking an rda when I get home and walk around tugging 100-120w. I have been doing more tc and the xcube isn't cutting it very well.

Thanks for the insight and the sudden craving for SPAM!

Welcome dude.
I have the vaporshark, which has the same size battery and charger as the lavabox. I don't normally run much higher than 50-60w with a preheat of 90-110w, i get 5-6 hours on a charge. Now, to do that i dimmed the screen quite a bit and changed th timeout to 1 second.
I got both of mine before the wismec one was announced, if i had i to do over again, i would get one of each. Those three 18650s are gonna last alot longer, but the form factor of the smaller device is to good to pass up.

I can pick up a wismec for 140 plus one more vct5's or Sammy 25r bringing it to 159 with shipping or the volcano for 135 and 2 day shipping.

That is why I'm struggling with the choice. Love the look of the volcano, just wasn't sure about the battery pack.

Not up on the "compare battery life between lipo and 18650's"

Well lipo batteries handle discharge differently than what were used to with vaping. Plus we all vape different so giving battery expectations is already difficult.
Not sure if this helps but on my sxmini'm' class with similar settings I would get 3-4 hours on a single 18650. So. Essentially with the same battery as in the lavabox I get 5-6 hours.
The big plus is the 2a charging, it'll go from dead to full in 45minutes.

I'm not seeing the 2a charging... Only 1a balanced charging across the cells.

I did see though that battery packs are on $24. You could have a spare if you really needed it I guess.

I think I'm gonna pick one up. $135 with free FedEx 2 day shipping. Can't hate that.

No 2 amp charging on the Lavabox. The only one that I know of that offers the 2 amp zip charging is your VS Firebird. I just saw your post or I would have answered earlier.

PS I've tried various 2 amp bricks and according to the onscreen USB current, it's maxed out at 1 amp. Believe me, I really wish it had 2 amp charging.

There was, I'm not sure how that started but apparently before it came out someone affiliated with Volcano either said or alluded that it would. Somewhere along the line for whatever reason it never came to pass. It's not your fault my friend. Hell, I feel bad I didn't see your tagging me earlier. I have one and really like it even without the 2 amp. I'd like to have it but since I've never had it, I don't miss it. But you on the other hand probably would since you have it lol :D

I would but its more of a convenience than a deal breaker. i went from prorape to evolv through vaporshark when the dna30 came out and it was a 0.5a charger with a little bitty lipo and i would have to leave it plugged in quite a bit because i was only getting 4hours on a charge. so, I'm used to that already. and with that one the battery is soldered onto the board.
i still use that little guy to, its smaller than the istick30. lol

I will pickup a 3 battery dna mod mid year so have a good pocket size, lavabox, and then what I will name, "The Mother Ship". Whatever the best 3 battery mod out then is. New baby due in Feb, so only one for Christmas. Haha
