Looks pretty good to me. Congrats on your first rda. What mod you going to run it on?

Edit: have you already ordered it? I thought you had, but after reading again.... If you ordered already I'm sure it will work out, but if you're still deciding maybe a standard design would be easier to start with.

With the Magma, you need to make sure that there are no cotton fibers touching the air inlet from beneath the coil. Not exactly a good beginners atty, but with practice you will get a lot of flavor from this atty, not massive clouds, it wasn't designed for that, it's a flavor dripper. Don't over drip with this one because it will be a leaky freaking mess if you do..

Any dripper you get you will get used to.
If you get a basic rda with side air flow then down the road decide to get one with post air flow or bottom air flow there will be a learning curve regardless how many years you used the standard side air design.
I say go for it, if you master the magma you can build on most rdas with ease.

Mutation X v3. 4 posts for easy building, single or dual coil airflow, the airflow can be adjusted from zero to more air than you need or anywhere in between, comes with a wide bore drip tip and an adapter for using 510 drip tips and it can be setup for flavor and/or clouds. Authentics can be had for $20 and there's a project sub ohm edition for $25. I turned my buddy on to that rda and a Sigelei 150w as his first rda and replaceable battery mod. He's been super happy with both for a while now. Two great pieces for anyone. Happy hunting.

been doing sme reading. seems to me like the biggies are: mutation x, derringer, veritas, magma and freakshow. any thoughts overall? Im looking for great flavor and relatively easy builds. i rebuild my subtanks but im not truly building them as i use prebuilt coils...so im certainly no expert but not complete foreign to wicking, etc.

I would avoid bottom feeding airflow (magma and freakshow) and odd ball designs (veritas) for a first rda. That leaves the derringer and mutation. The derringer has three posts and the mutation has four. The mutation is easier to do dual coil builds on. The derringer can leak juice down the side when you remove the top cap to drip. The mutation doesn't. The derringer looks funny on large'ish boxes while the larger mutation looks right at home. I absolutely love my derringer when sitting on top of my SMPL mech, but in this situation I think the mutation is a better choice. The v3 is the best option of the mutation line for a new rda user in my opinion. It really does have all the features and adjustability you need. Easy building, great performance, flavor and clouds. Just my opinions. Happy hunting.

For flavor I haven't seen something better than marquis yet. But for fun and pretty good flavor atty was dark horse and velocity was my top two goto rda so far

stop smoking keep on vaping ^.~

Consider a Dark horse also. Better flavor compared to a few others I have.

I'm gonna make an off the wall recommendation . Get an Aqua V2 , lots'a people forget that it's an awesome RDA as well as an RTA , it comes with the parts to use it in either mode . It's got killer flavor in either mode and it's capable of chucking clouds as well . It can be set as side airflow , undercoil airflow , or both for clouds in RDA mode , it can be built single or dual coil mode as well . It's pretty much the total package , killer RTA & RDA .

I did go with the plume veil 1.5 clone but this is only the beginning of my dripping journey....clones are relatively cheap so I look forward to picking up many of the other types that you guys suggested next month when I get paid again. I dont think I can justify MORE money on vape stuff right now after this wacky july 4th sale stretch.

I have a magma and blow throw the air holes from the outside to "clear" it. Works for me. I only use a single coil but still use two air holes. I love the flavor.

Edit: I drip 10-11 drops from a glass dropper bottle and 12 from a plastic bottle small dropper tip. I haven't had any leaks issues with that.
