My first MechMod!

It finally came!! After waiting two looong days my Panzer clone and Infinite CLT V2 Plus came. I slapped on a 1 ohm dual coil and maaaan is it nice. I have nothing to really compare it too but this clone is just beautiful. Bought from VividSmoke online, and kudos to them for shipping it to me in two days from all the way across the country haha (California to Georgia). I've got some 28 gauge kanthal coming in the mail hopefully tommorow with my IPV mini 2 70W so that's when I'll be able to really see what I can do. But as for now I'm LOVING this Panzer clone.

Also this is my first post in Vaping Underground

Hey guys, I just got me my first tube clone yesterday, which is a MCM Underground tube. First off, that 22mm build deck was something that I am very unfamiliar with. Anybody know what kind of build deck that is? I tried to look up youtube clips but for some reason, I can't find anything in Engllish, then some Russian clips sort of just skip on the wicking part. They all get straight to the test firing part after doing their show and tell (unboxing).

My issue is: their builds seem to hit really hard! When I try to build and wick my Underground RDA, it doesn't seem to hit that hard. My first attempt was a single coil 24 gauge Clapton (6 spaced loops)... it was kinda weak. So I took it apart, re-built it... but this time, I did a dual coil (5 loops each) on a Kanthal 24 gauge... this time I saw a little improvement. I also noticed there wasn't much heat in it. And yes, I did try to play around with the air flow and my Samsung battery was fully charged.

Any suggestions on how to get that "hard hit" feel? Thanks in advance, you guys, and vape safe!

I'm gonna try and upload an image of that "flat deck" I was talking about for your reference. :D

You're welcome.
I'm not a mech user, but if you're looking to shorten ramp-time, you might want to go with a higher gauge wire. Smaller wire heats up faster, and 24g is mighty thick.
Perhaps @r055co can help.

Yeah 24g is a bit fat for a single battery, I'd do fused Claptons @around 0.19-0.2 ohms. Kanthal I'd do 26g core with 38g wrapping and SS 28g core with 38g wrapping.

Sweet. That makes a lotta sense. I'm just not getting the "heat" I'm looking for with the 24g Kanthal on my single batt tube... I'm gonna try and swing by the shop later and look for them slimmer wires. As far the wrap diameter, would you guys recommend I stick with 3mm? My RX2/3 fires up the dual 24g coils no problem -- especially after the firmware update. The Underground tube though... struggle! haha :)

Big help, you guys! Thanks again! :D

This is how I build on the underground.
Make sure that the cotton you tuck into the individual wells doesn't fill it up.
I like to cut the tips into kinda triangular or edged tips so it's very little that actually goes into the well or she will leak. That being said having both side and bott air the underground chucks fucking clouds like a 25mm atty, building on it is a bit of a learning curve though.

That build lookin' tight!!! Are those 9 loops? What wire gauge are you using and what's the diameter on those loops? I'm not sure my single batt Underground can fire up those 9 loops though.

It's a 9nwrap 28ss/38k on a 3mm don't remember the ohms but it's my usual series build and always comes out to like a .3-.4
