There's something NASA and the astronauts of Apollo 10 didn't immediately reveal about their manned orbit of the moon in 1969. While their craft moved across the dark side of the moon, cut off from all radio contact with Earth, the Apollo 10 crew's instruments picked up a strange transmission that one astronaut described as "outer space-type music."
"Boy, that sure is weird music," stated one crew member, to which another replied, "We're going to have to find out about that. Nobody will believe us."
According to transcripts from the mission, which remained classified until 2008, the "music" unsettled the astronauts enough that they debated whether or not to even tell NASA.
