After four years on Mars, NASA's rover, Curiosity, may need to have its course diverted to avoid contaminating what is suspected to be water.
Between February and July 2012, dark streaks on a hillside on Mars noticeably 'grew', in ways that appeared to be like flowing water. We can't technically confirm that it was, though, since strict international rules prevent Curiosity from touching any kind of liquid on Mars, but those dark streaks have appeared all over in the planet in the past four years - a total of 452 possible 'recurring slope lineae' (or RSL, as they're called), have been found.
