i just bought my first vape two days ago. an istick with nautilus tank. within an hour it was leaking and gurgling. the guy told me to come back if i had any problems so i went back yesterday and he took it apart, wiped it out and it seemed alright so i went home. by the time i got home 15 minutes later it was gurgling again. i took it apart 3 times last night, tried filling it, tried changing the coil. still gurgling. went back to the shop today and he gave me a new one. said it was either i was smoking it wrong or it was a faulty product. i came home put it together a half hour ago and just tried it now. once again its gurgling. i feel like an idiot going back again but i dont see what i could be doing wrong. im pulling on it lightly. its at 10w. is this me or is this fixable? or is this just a crap product? sorry that was so long

'smoking it wrong' doesn't make it gurgle! Are you absolutely sure the coil is in tight? Also are you sure both the top and bottom are on tight - the top can get loose if you hold onto it while you're screwing in the bottom. Just a couple of things to try!

Just got my Nautilus today and was working fine for about ten minutes then serious gurgling and spitting juice out the drip tip. Took it apart, cleaned out all the juice that had leaked into the well below the head, put it back together and now have been using it all day with no problem. In my case I'm guessing it's because when it arrived via vape mail it was COLD, I mean COLD, must have sat in the post office truck all night to be that cold. I'm thinking when it warmed up after ten minutes the juice in the head expanded or something and caused it to flood. Can't think of anything else. If anyone else has any answers please do tell.
The metal top and bottom probably loosened up as it got warmer, so you may have lost the seal?

That could be. Whatever the issue I'm thinking it had something to do with it being so cold. I mean I couldn't even hold it in my hand, that's how cold it was out of the box. Is the OP taking his out into the cold by chance?
Well, as a thought, tighten up the atty's seals and ramp up the watts to 10 or 11 and open up the airflow. If the tank is sealed correctly and the coil head seated correctly, perhaps you might need a bit more power to vaporize the eliquid.
Yep. Cold. Mine tries to flood every time I come in from outside feeding the critters. I keep it upside down and vape a few times while it warms back up when I first come in and that usually keeps the flooding away.

That happened to me a lot last year with my ProTank. Also, I think vaping it out in extreme cold ruins the juice. It's my theory that the cold separates the different ingredients because some are thicker than the other, and you end up vaping away the thinner (or thicker) stuff out in the cold, and then when it warms up your left with an unbalanced juice. That's my theory anyway.
You might want to check the top seal. A while back, the factory sent out a bunch with the top seal reversed. They have corrected it now but if your B&M had them on the shelf for awhile you might have gotten one of them with reversed seals.
That makes sense to me.

air contracts and expands as it cools/heats....rapid drastic temperature changes wreak havoc on the vacuum of our vape tanks....I run inside/outside literally all day as a mover and it's hell on my Kayfun. It doesn't want to wick when it gets super cold and then rushes and pushes the liquid into the bell flooding it and making it leak out my air hole as it rapidly warms up in my truck as I go to drive back to the shop....I've given up on trying to use my protanks....at first I thought it was just bad coils or I'd overfill or my orings were bad and it wasn't sealing or feeding right... then after a few flooded Kayfuns and ruined wicks I realized it's just winter wreaking havoc on my vape gear

Yes, good advice. Check the top gasket in case it was put in wrong at the factory. It should be hole side up, smooth side down towards glass.
Then reassemble and tighten like a gorilla. To the point where you need a rubber grip to take it apart.
Some I have spoken to use pliers with drip tip covers on the teeth to tighten and stop the leaking.
It is a common issue but it does not affect everyone. Probably different production runs.
