So as you all know, I'm pretty much new to this. Been sticking with fruit based juices so far, and mostly FA. The problem I'm experiencing isn't poor taste, so far they've been pretty good. However, I'm finding my juices are dry. Not harsh, they literally seem to dry out my mouth. Help me get my juices juicy. Thx

Seriously, though...vaping does dehydrate you a little. Are you drinking enough water or something?

For a juicer fruit, try a different flavor manufacturer.

To make your juice taste wetter, try adding some .9 saline solution (pharmaceutical grade) and or EM.

Im no expert, in fact im so new i could be considered to have just put my foot in the water but i did once read a warning about saline solution in vaping and that it turns to something nasty. Like i said im a newy and im not gonna tell anyone whats what but im not sure about saline, if what i read was rubbish though then, sorry. But yeah, i get dry mouth, doesnt help that i naturally dehydrate easily though.

Never seen it on an ingredient list, but saline is just salt, which might gunk up a coil, but I don't know that it's going to turn into something more nasty. Can't find any hints of it in a few min of searching at least.

I experienced the dry mouth when I first started, and I have heard the same from a lot of others. I certainly drink a lot more liquids than I did before I vaped.

And not just water... anything that isn't alcoholic or caffeinated, and lots of it. Stuff with high potassium is better than stuff with high sodium, like sports drinks.

  1. Hi all, like i said im a newy. But to try and give myself the best hope in this hurdle ridden life i look for the, hopefully, best advice i can get. I accept that now and then its rubbish. But this is where after looking a bit that i read about saline...... saline-in-eliquid-is-this-smart. Hope that gets you there, im not great at links etc.... To be honest i found it because i was looking for how to make my own ejuice have bigger flavour like those i got from vendors.

That's the thing, I don't think it's dehydration, It's got something to do with my juice. It literally dries out my throat and mouth. Like I said though, not a harshness, just dry. Then I fill up with the last of my store bought stuff and it doesn't do it at all. It's not a deal breaker or anything, my own juice does taste great, I just find its drying me out lol

What's the difference in VG/PG ratio in the two juices?

try some with out nic ... to eliminate that .. then try just some vg ..etc... then try adding some sucralose to a mix .. see if any of those account for the differences you are experiencing. Process of elimination .. I sometimes find FA only mixes a bit on the 'drier' side .. try a mix or two with TFA or CAP.. just to see.

There's a few things you can try for a less dry vape:

Try adding 1% or 2% Marshmallow (any kind, some are better than others for this)
Try adding 0.2% to 0.3% Inawera Cactus to your fruits (keep this flavor very low or it will overpower your other flavors)
Try adding 5% to 10% distilled water to any mix (buy distilled water at the grocery store - it's cheap)

It would be helpful if we knew which flavors you're finding dry. Easier to point you in the right direction. :)

Maybe your vapor is just to hot try a vented drip tip. I've been vaping since 2014. depending on my build and high wattage sometimes my vapor is hot. I use vented drip tip seem to cool the vapor down and make it smooth. I'm only brainstorming as it very well could be your juice consistency as well. Hot vape made my mouth dry I drank 3x the water at first trying to solve it with no luck then I was told to try n cool my vapor. LoL I thought it was stupid but it helps on certain builds I have done.

A few around here have had the same issues using all FA flavors.
Switching brands, or mixing other brands with FA helps IMO.
Adding TFA/CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl, CAP Sweet Cream, TFA DX Bavarian Cream, TFA Dairy Milk, etc to FA fruits will help also.
Or mixing in other brands of fruits with FA fruits.
