I'm thinking for a start, can you give us one of the recipes you're working on and not having success with? Flavoring brands, percentages, PG/VG ratio and nic level...or post a list of all the brands and flavors you've got and we might be able to suggest some recipes based on what you've got at your disposal.

Hmm, that seems like it should be pretty close to decent, even as a shake-and-vape. Have you tried making a batch of 3 mg unflavored and vaping that, just to see if the unpleasant taste is in one of your bases? There may be something wrong with your PG, VG, or nic...

Sure is hmm I did try that when I first got my nic and it was fine not harsh just don't understand why I can't taste any thing I've no cold, and I can taste shop bought.

Is your nic VG based?

If it is, are you shaking the hell out of it before you mix?

Be sure to shake your flavorings, too. I'm kinda with Dave on this. Stumped. Nothing seems outlandish or out of sorts with your percentages.

Could be a few things. A lot of posts may say 3-4 week steep which can be true. But from what I have found...

Everybody says test test test. Vape a few mls on day one from an over night steep. Then retest a few days later and then a few more days. Some recipies are great day one (shake and vape) but not good at day 8.

Some recipies really need 5 days of steeping to have all the flavors marry and start making babies. Some other crazy recipies hit their apex at 2weeks.

Some recipies just won't work for you. One of my first recipies just would work. I wasted so much time and it sucked. Changing the percentages. Testing the vg and pg. then I gave up on that recipie all together and it was a miracle. Next 5 recipies were excellent. But the experience taught me more about how to make adjustments so the next time I stumble I could figure why.

The other thing people say... Be prepared to struggle. Be prepared for some bad juice recipies. We all have preferences on taste and it just takes practice...the first time you baked a cake it may have been out of a box and with experience you move onto making from scratch then move on to even more complicated stuff.

I think we all make it sound easy, but I think the first time you make your own juice it's like skipping ahead to making a cake from scratch and your going to burn a few. This is from my own experience of course. I think many would agree

Keep with it. Before you know it you will have some great juice recipies.

Just my thoughts. You have some really tart Flavors in your list. So you want to start lower, rather than what a given recipe gives as %.

I made the mistake of following a Blueberry mix recipe that called for 8%. I've since learned I can't mix it higher than 2%.

I typically use the TFA strawberry at 4% max now, in any recipe. And the Kiwi, I would seriously have to take it down to 1% or less to start.

The strawberry does much better after a couple of weeks steeping. And you might want to add a bit of sweetener. I typically use a single drop of marshmallow per 10ml.

Everyone's taste buds are different. But I too dealt with harsh taste when working with strawberry and kiwi in the beginning.

Have to agree here as I've found them kinda strong myself, mostly when not using any Vanillas/Creams/Marshmallows/etc.

I'd try the mix with 4% Strawberry + 1% Kiwi too, but would use 0.5-1% Marshmallow if I didn't have any Vanilla or Cream to use.

I'd also try it with a 50PG-50VG base at 2mg too, as some people can't taste the flavors very good with high VG.

Also depends a lot on the equipment being used too, MOD, Tank, Coil, Wattage, etc.:D

Make sure your coils do not have hot spots.
If they do no matter what you mix or buy it will taste like harsh shit.

Ooo, ooo...and if you haven't already done it and have the supplies to do so. Let your first attempts steep for another 1-2 weeks. They may still suck....but if you test every 3-4 days you can learn about how the flavors blend as time goes...you may even find that the juices are better. They may not get better and are just going to be yucky. But if it's an opportunity to learn how flavoring changes over time the lesson is free since you already mixed the juices.

It was worth my time testing yucky juices because I learned a lot about how to adjust flavors as a I go so on the next attempt for a recipie was better. I also found some flavors can take over a recipie as time goes and needed to drop the amount for my next attempt.
