Hi everyone... I got a Panzer clone a while back and have had trouble getting it to work. At one time, the firing button would turn all the way to the right and it would stop. You could also turn the firing button all the way to the left without the button coming off the mod. I had a couple of RBA's that worked on it and it really hit well. I would like to use it again, but it's not working now.

Any information/help would be greatly appreciated.

I get the impression you've never taken this mech completely apart, and thoroughly cleaned it. If that's the case... that's the place to start.

Yep... a clean mech with good continuity is a happy mech. Have fun. ;)

Thanks... just got through cleaning everything. Never really had to do that before. Everything always just worked :)
On the Panzer, do you know if the brass ring at the top of the firing button is supposed to turn? Maybe it's just for show...

Get 'er running yet?

Lots of crap can collect in all the nooks and crannies... reduces conductivity and can even block the switch electrical pathway all together.

A few tips...
A general hot soap and water cleaning (I like Oxyclean... but most any dish soap works fine) followed with a thorough drying can do wonders. You can also use IPA as a stand alone cleaner, or a follow-up after soap and water.
A pencil or pen eraser head does a nice job of cleaning tarnished copper, brass or silver battery contacts. A fine ScotchBrite pad works well to remove electrical "burn" stains from contact surfaces on buttons and housings.
On copper and brass, "steel wool" can leave embedded metal particles behind that can actually rust. If you must use steel wool pads, use pure stainless steel ones.

One last tip (if you're as OCD as I am) - seldom considered...
If you use cloth toweling to dry a vaping device, try to avoid ones that have been run through a dryer with a "fabric softener" dryer sheet... they leave behind a residue on cloth that can affect conductivity. I use lab grade Dupont "Sontara" or Kimtech "Kimwipes" just for that purpose. I've also used hand washed and air dried microfiber cloths with good results.

It's working now. I think part of it was due to what tank I was using. I did clean it though. My Patriot doesn't work on it so I searched for an old tank (a mini nova) and it worked on that. The Panzer has problems with certain RBA's. If the 510 connection isn't long enough to make contact with the top pin, it won't work.

At least I know what the issue is now. Just have to find a tank that will work. If I remember, it doesn't work on my Kraken clone (my favorite). I use it all the time. I'll have to check my tank graveyard and see what I can come up with, lol.

Also, thanks for all the tips. Lots of good info!

also, the pin in the top of my panzer actually pushes up. (I have a ehpro clone) I was having problems firing certain attys til I found that out by accident putting it back together, it's just a small click that probably only pushes the pin upward about a mm, but fires all my attys now with no problem.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm not clear on how you raised the pin up. Would you mind explaining just a little more? (I get dumb sometimes)... Also, how do you get the firing button to that spot where it will turn all the way to the left and stop instead of coming off? I had it there once, but it's not doing it now. It was working once but don't know how I did it?

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate any help/advice.
