Need help with strawberry

I have been mixing for a while but strawberry seems to be an issue. I have TFA strawberry ripe and strawberry, fa strawberry, inw shisha strawberry (just got it) and cap strawberry something.

I like fa. TFA has so e sort of weird taste. I don't know if it is because of the, percentages you have to use. I have never liked cap so it has just sat there.

I will take suggestions for combos try. I tried some of the diyordie stuff but the same issue due to TFA and the flavor fades too fast.

Thanks

Popular mix is TFA SB Ripe + CAP Sweet SB, many different ratios tho.
I'd start with 3% + 3%.

Have you tried the Shisha yet?

Try 2-3% Shisha SB + 2% FA Cookie(or INW Biscuit):D

Some of the diyordie Strawberry recipes were using sweetener and/or EM.
And those really muted the Strawberry for me too.

Some recipes, if you get too much/many other flavors they can also hide or cover up the SB.

(ECX)FE also has a Strawberry that's decent, maybe in between Shisha SB & FA SB.

I've recently mixed a small batch (I'm still experimenting myself) with FA Rasberry (0.5%), FA Strawberry (1.5%), INW Shisha Strawberry (2%), and TPA/TFA Sweetener (Sucralose) (0.5%). The Rasberry seems to help with getting a more fruity and sweeter flavor. However, I think it needs a few days steeping. I tried it right after mixing. The Strawberry was there, but not enough.

@Heabob I haven't tried the shisha alone but I will try that combo. Thr shisha smells really good. I never add sweetner to anything. I try to mix do I don't need it.

@Neunerball I did read about raspberry helping strawberry and that was going to be my next step. I wonder if a touch of peach would do it. I was thinking fa white peach or tfa juicy peach. Just a touch. Let me know how your mix works.

I'll let you know in a few days. I'm not sure about the peach though. In case you give that a try, let us know, how it works out for you, and with what FA Peach.

I've noticed it seems many people have an issue tasting strawberry flavors clearly. I think I have this problem to some degree. The TFA strawberries (regular and ripe) never do much for me as individual flavors, though they are useful blending-type agents. Cap Sweet Straw is good for what its worth--but is definitely an artificial-tasting strawberry. FA Strawberry is the nicest, most "reallytrulystrawberryish" strawberry I've tried to date, but I have yet to try INW Shisha Strawberry, and people are loving that...

What others have said, above, about certain flavors helping to accent strawberry ripe or regular (tfa)---I've experienced this with peach, citric acid, and lemon, in small amounts. If you want a strawberry flavor but have had no luck finding a satisfying one, I'd recommend messing around with tiny amounts of additives like those just mentioned to kinda draw the strawberry experience out of the strawberry flavor.

Occasionally, if your luck (or expertise) is just right, you can get an awesomely unexpected wallop of taste of very little flavoring. There are a few great examples of this among HIC's recipes and one by Rocket Puppy called "Rocket Puppy's Caramel Apple".

I haven't had time to experiment but I am going to. I agree with tfa. I don't know why I keep using it. I use both what you mentioned. I agree, FA strawberry is great. I am always thinking about just need time to make something and write it down. I will post when I do.

So I tasted a vanilla berry I made that I edited from the web. I put 3% fa strawberry and 1% shisha strawberry. My gosh.....terrible, so sweet. Used to not be able to work with fa raspberry. Now not an issue. Strawberry upsetting me. I may just stick with sullys berry mash. At least I can use strawberry and it's really good.

For most of my fruity juices that call for strawberry- unless its something like a strawberry milk- I mix FA strawberry and TFA Strawberry Ripe at equal ratios. That combo makes the best strawberry in my opinion

That's what I do as well, mix the two at equal ratios. Sometimes, for a slight change of pace (especially when I start losing the ability to taste the strawberry), I'll toss in a touch of FA raspberry, but only a teensy, tiny amount. Not enough to actually taste the raspberry, just enough to enhance the strawberry.

Ill keep that in mind! When I bought juice I could rarely taste strawberry in any juices, now that I make my own I can always taste the strawberry..I thought I would never be able to love strawberry again until i saved myself

I can say I have some Rhodonite made up and that left over on the wick seemed to bring the strawberry out. Maybe inw raspberry would do the same thing.

I've also heard of ppl using the Ras to help the Strawberry pop.
Suspect it's for those having trouble with tasting the SB.
INW should work the same as FA, but keep it low to start, 0.5% max.

The one I have that is too sweet will be tried with my mama j copy. It may be okay then.

I was surprised how the strawberry popped with Rhodonite left in the wick. To me, Rhodonite has a real inw raspberry flavor so you I think you are right

As mentioned, I wanted to keep you posted on my results with the mix I mentioned previously. I think, an equal amount of FA Strawberry and the INW Shisha Strawberry (2% of each) and the 0.5% FA Rasberry works great. Depending, on how sweet you want it to be, you might want to utilize the Sucralose.

Is Shisha strawberry much better than Inawera's standard strawberry? because I have that and don't like it at all. I've been doing the 50/50 ripe + sweet, and it works fine, but .... is so easily overpowered once you start adding cakes and creams.

From what I've read I'd say yes, I love the Shisha myself but never tried the others.
And I'm only using 2-3%.

But it will get covered up if using a bunch of other flavors, or too much EM or Sweetener.
I like 2% Shisha SB + 2% INW Biscuit
Or 2% Shisha SB + .05% INW Vanilla or INW Vanilla Bourbon or HS Cream

Start as low as 10 drop (36 drops / ml count) in 30 ml bottle. Whenever I use strawberry I use tiny amount of Strawberry Shisha , that give a great flavor/taste.

I must get some Shisha ordered in that case. Their normal strawberry isn't 'bad', but it has a kind of mustiness about it, doesn't taste like a true strawberry.
