Need ideas/suggestions for new setup

So I've been Vaping for years, but I haven't been able to stay "on top" of all the new devices coming out.

Right now I only have one, a SMPL with a Troll RDA at .25 ohms.

I loved tanks because of less hassle, but since I started dripping again I don't know if I could go back and lose the flavour.

So, suggestions for a tank that won't cost me the flavour of dripping (or at least keep MOST the flavour).

As far as mods, I have had a reo grande, and a provari, but those were a few years ago. Most recently I had a Nemesis and a colonial and now the SMPL. The nemesis broke and I lost my colonial in a move. Thus, only one mod left.

It's tax return season, so I figure I should get at least ONE new setup. After all, I'd be screwed if something happened to my SMPL in the middle of the night!

Depends on what size tank you would like. There is a very strong following here for the Boreas tank and the feedback from members is very positive. Downside is it's 25mm so not a great fit on a 22mm mech or smaller box mod. Upside is it's 25mm and hold a tremendous amount of juice. My personal favorite tank right now is the Avocado, has great flavor but limited capacity. Best I can describe it is, its a dripper sitting on top of a tank. Also trying out the Serpent Mini. It's a single coil tank with small capacity (I like small tanks). Flavor with a regular build was meh, but switched in a fused clapton and that has improved things. Airflow is tighter than a dripper.

The Troll RDA has perfect airflow, but I don't know how that would rank compared to the avocado.

I haven't tried the Troll, but if you use it with all those air holes fully open, the Avocado will be much less.

I don't run tanks often as a direct lung I'm normally an rda user
when I do run a tank, its strictly for when i drive on the interstate and lately iv been using a billow v3
billow v3 has plenty of airflow and doesn't sacrifice flavor for vapor production, its also easy to build on; and, can take a simple 24g build as easy as a fused Clapton.
typically I run it at 65w with a 8w preheat at 470 degrees on a dna 200
or
i'll run it with dual 26g on a provape Procyon at 44w with max boost.

9 times out of ten though I use an rda, tanks just aren't my thing anymore unless I'm driving distance.

For mods, I'm a tech guy by nature and occupation,
- love my dna200's for that, also love the hexohm for just pure power and consistency.

I feel I am way more out of the loop than I realised. I haven't used VW or Temp Control. Only thing close was my provari and I would tweak the voltage depending on my mood.

I have a LOT to google now!

I have several prorape mods, I just got the Procyon a few weeks ago.
BUT, if you want to run a tank, and you want to build low, I would still suggest something along the lines of dna200 mod, the Q class from yihi, or something with the new joyetech rx board: rx200, vape forward, centurion.
the provape mod is just to limited on what it can do for 200$, especially when you consider a dna or the q class are both a little cheaper, are equallu accurate and can let you vape any way choose.
Temp control is not difficult to learn.

its not a guide but meant for someone new to it, to understand the concept, and make it a little easier to adjust. i would suggest any tc mod that you get, make sure it works with Stainless Steel, Also, remember any TC mod also runs in power mode, so you don't have to use it. Its like provari- not for everyone.

+1 on the Avocado....but they are soon to release the "Avocado 24" which is larger, with more juice capacity, and a better top fill method.
